Jim Lewis Tire and Wheel, Inc. is one man`s dream that became reality in September, 1982. Jim Lewis got his start in the tire business in 1953, working for Mid-West Auto Store as an assistant manager. After a short time, he was promoted to store manager.In 1976, he moved on to MFA Tire and Auto Center to become the store manager and supervisor over 11 area stores. In September 1982, Jim Lewis purchased the MFA Tire and Auto Center located in Jefferson City, Missouri.Our philosophy of business is the same today as when Jim started. "We just treat them (our customers) like we would want to be treated," said Jim Lewis. "The greatest service we provide is hand tightening the lug nuts and we use a torque wrench to finish the job to manufacturer`s specifications. This special service eliminates stripping the lug nuts, wheels coming loose, prevents brake rotor warping and allows the consumer to remove the tire easily themselves."Jim retired in 1997 and sold the business to his oldest daughter, Sharlyn, and her husband Phil LePage. Sharlyn has been with the company from the beginning. Phil has been with Jim Lewis Tire and Wheel, Inc. since May 1983. Jim Lewis passed away August 5, 2005, but will always live on in our hearts and memories.

this place is a joke

this place is a joke, i will never take a vehical back here to be worked on again. we had a transmission put in back in january, and it has been in the shop 4 times since then being fixed because of the poor workmans ship done on it. it has been in there over 3 weeks. warrenty work is not important to these people. so if you do deside to take your vehical there good luck getting it back anytime soon.
