Dishonest service is no way to win customers.
My wife took her 2010 Elantra to Prime Hyundai South to have a defective valve stem & sensor replaced. It had already been accurately diagnosed by Sears Automotive. She was charged $119.31 for the valve stem and sensor and an astonishing $99.00 in labor. I called the service manager to inquire. His response was ""that`s what the Chilton`s manual says the job should pay"". I told him that we both know that ... view moreit didn`t take an hour to remove a tire and change a valve stem. He said - and I quote him directly, ""It doesn`t matter how little labor time was used. The book says we can charge an hour, so we do"". I was shocked that he actually admitted to charging more labor than the job required, but I guess that just highlights the galactic arrogance there. I responded that it is not only grossly unfair to charge for labor time not used, it is also a clear violation of the Consumer Protection Act (MGL Chapter 93A). I have to say that the service manager remained polite while he was picking our pockets. I suppose that`s about the best thing I can say. As for Tom O`Brien Hyundai aka Prime Hyundai South, I don`t know how ripping a customer off for excess labor charges helps your reputation. Fraud doesn`t seem like a great way to build customer loyalty. Don`t expect to see us back. EVER.

I was a customer (key word "was") a Tom O`Brien Hyundai customer for 7+ years. I spent thousands of dollars for service there, when someone picked up the phone there, I knew them by their voice before they even said their name?ˆ¦. Flash to present day. I am in the market for a new car, of course I would go to the place where I have been loyal for the previous 7 years. I knew the type of car as well as the ... view morecolor which I wanted. I stated all of these features to the salesperson (Marcus). He did not have one of the cars which I wanted on the lot, but assured me it would not be a problem to locate. I had completely done my research as well and I told him exactly which dealerships had the exact car I wanted in the area. His first "offer" was $4,000 over sticker price, and tried to tell me that the figures were computer generated (obviously that was not true). I informed him of the fact that it was 4k over sticker, showed him what I could purchase the car for at other dealerships, and told exactly what I would pay for the car. I told him that I had no issue walking out either. I gave him the price I would make a deal right there for. Every time he had to speak with his manager (normal trick) and asked for my credit card every time ( I am much smarter than that) After he had 3 chances to meet my price, I left. I was then threatened by his manager prior to leaving. I was beyond insulted and disappointed that 7 years of loyalty and thousands of dollars were wasted and undone by one lousy salesperson and sales manager. I even gave them a second chance and contacted their customer service, who decided to ignore me entirely. They have now shown multiple times that they care about no one but themselves I later found out that Tom O`Brien will not be allowed to sell Hyundai cars for much longer, and that they are known to be bay far the worst Hyundai dealership in New England. I have spoken to many people, including people who used to work there. If I were you, I would go somewhere else. I had 2 other dealerships meet my price, including one who beat it by $500. Tom O`Brien is not worth it the very least.

Service and Sales Department
I found Tom O`Brien Hyundai online and I made an appointment with their service department for my elantra (which was getting old) they set me up for the very next day and when I went in they went over my car and before doing anything they actually came and got me and showed me what was wrong and what the cost would be. Before they came and got me I was looking at some of the suv they had and asked if I could do a tes... view moret Drive I met with Mike L and he explained everything about the car to me and once we got back they explained that I could trade my elantra towards a new Tuscon and so we set up the paper and I was in and out with my new car and I couldnt be happier. I will never go anywhere else for service or a sale.

No Sleazy Sales Tactics
I noticed the above review and realized their was no recent reviews and since I just bought a used Mercedes(they sell used cars and new Hyundai) I thought I would share. I really feel like I had a good experience. I bought my car about 2 weeks ago(10/2010) before going on vacation. Everything was done in one day from the plates to paperwork. My salesman Dave M. was pressure free and nice and the car is exactly wha... view moret I wanted which is problem free. I have had some really bad luck in the past with car buying- (bought a new ford that died on major roadway within 1st month and buying used car from a dealer in medford that was a lemon aid that didn`t even pass inspection)- and was happy that I got a car that runs amazingly despite it being used. I hate going into a car dealership and getting that slimy feeling some car salesman can give you and was extremely pleased with Dave`s approach. I felt like he was honest and straightforward. Overall I would recommend them and I would suggest you ask for Dave M.

Very happy
I was shopping a few different dealers in the area. The price they gave me on the phone was the same when I came in. Mark was very helpfull. I enjoyed meeting Elizabeth and Mr. O`Brien and appreciated that they took their time to sit with me. And I love my new Elantra!

Hard working people beware
Tom O`Brien Satff in Quincy Ma has the worst customer service ever. From their sales people, to their Finance manager ""Jim Hay"" to their suuposive GM Elizabeth O`Brien.

This place should be under investigation for scamming good, hardworking people.
