I made my appointment for Pep Boys, Portsmouth NH over the phone Saturday night. I asked them if they had all the parts to get the job done they said Yes. I brought my truck in Sunday, dropped it off, thinking it would be a few hours, no one mentioned to me that parts were missing for the job.... they called me a few hours later saying they needed to get a part from outside the shop and it would be a few hours. No ph... view moreone call in a few hours so I go back in, and they let me know they can`t get the part till tomorrow now and I`ll have to bring the truck back in the morning at 11. So i spent the entire day waiting for nothing to be done and waiting for some communication, for example a phone call letting me know the situation. So the next day I bring the truck down at 11, they take my truck, say it`s going to be a few hours. They call me (this time) and let me know the same thing, the part they need isn`t in yet, give them till the end of the day. I wait for a call, they don`t call so I stop in, see that my truck has been put up on the lift.... they let me know the part they need isn`t in. 2 full days wasted of just waiting for a part. Waiting for the part wasn`t a huge issue for me, I did go to them initially thinking they were a place that stocks parts... the issue was the lack of clear communication. DO NOT expect good service here, also good advice on your car/truck. Turns out the service they were recommending for my truck doesn`t even need to be done.
