Ford F150
I have called T&B in a moment of need. My truck needed to have two coils changed and had nowhere else to go. Mr Tim was fantastic, he accept to see me at 1700, (closing time), and he changed the coils right there at that moment! He had to keep my truck overnight and conducted a tuneup. I was amazed of his great service, professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile. Will go back anytime I need service. Tha... view morenk You Mr Tim! :)

We at T& B Automotive are checking into the claims stated in the negative feedback response. We value your opinions and are saddened to hear that someone had a less than stellar visit to our shop. We try to maintain the highest integrity in our workmanship. Thank you for your concerns, and know that we will do our level best to make certain this does not happen in the future.

Tim and Butch have done the repair work on my vehicles for years now and I consider them family. They have always been upfront and honest with every job they have completed. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone without hesitation.

Read this before taking your car here!!
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Clarksville visiting my boyfriend (I live in Nashville). I hadn`t driven the car in two days. When I got into the car it wouldn`t start, and when I finally got it started, it stopped giving power after 3000rpms. I took it to T&B and they kept my car all day. Everytime I called, they asked me to call back later. Eventually, they told me that they could not find anything wrong with my ca... view morer and to bring it back if it acted up again. I found it strange that they didn`t charge me to look at my car. Turns out, I waited all day for them to simply drive it. When it didn`t act up, they turned off the check engine light and sent me on my way.

The next week, the same thing happened and I immediately took it to them. When the owner drove the car that morning, it was giving plenty of power but was idling high. He told me that must be a throttle issue and that if I didn`t get it fixed, it would tear up my motor. Scared to drive the car, I left it with them for 2 full days instructing him to find the throttle issue first since that seemed most pressing to me. About midday on Friday, I called and the owner told me that the only thing he found was that the spark plugs were worn out. He told me that they`d replace those and give me ""a really good tune-up"" I asked if that would fix the issue and he said ""It should"" He charged me over $489. When I picked up the car that night, they were closed and now not only was my car STILL idling high, but it was smoking. I was so upset! I had just spent over $550 (including a rental car to get back and forth to work) and now my car seemed worse off than before. When I got the car back to Nashville, I had another mechanic look at it and he asked me what they did to my car bc my power steering fluid was leaking everywhere, the spark plugs had been changed but not the wires, and there was a 5 inch crack in my radiator. He wondered why any mechanic would suggest a tune up when major repairs were needed for a car. I called to get an invoice for the work done and ask what a ""really good tune-up"" was in their eyes. The owner told me that a tune up to him was simply changing the spark plugs. For $489 dollars, they should have cleaned and polished the freakin` thing after checking the fluids, changing the spark plugs and the wires, checked the brakes (that need changing) etc etc etc. Turns out he charged me $140 for what he called ""Chasing the problem"" aka a diagnostic, which is A. outrageous since he didn`t find the problem he was instructed to find and B. absurd since most mechanics remove a diagnostic fee when you let them do the work. On the invoice there was also a charge for putting on a sensor that was never approved by myself either. $500 for $90 in parts, a tune up and replacing a sensor is one word: ridiculous.

Now it`s going to cost me another $500 and 2 days without a vehicle to actually get the repairs done.

Like many of you out there, I look to websites like this to get real feedback from consumers and I had heard that some places put their own reviews on here. I`m beginning to see that may in fact be true.

Bottom line: there are many mechanics on this same street, I would recommend taking your car to one of them.

THIS IS A LIFE SAVOR FOR CARS
Me as an army wife with kids is hard enough. When my husband is gone that leaves me to make all the decisions,so when the ""his"" truck and ""my"" van wont start I have to take care of that. One of my girlfriends told me who her mechanic was so I called them ,and that`s it they took care of the rest. What I really liked is they took time for me to connect them with my husband and then e-mail what was wrong with it very... view more nice business. I`ve been there twice and I`ll keep going back.
