Fantastic accurate and fair service. My daughter is a student at Pitt State, and had a challenge with her car. Navigating a repair from several hundred miles away isn?ˆ™t easy. I just wanted to give five stars to Chadd`s Auto Repair, if I could give them 10 stars I would. I`ve had my vehicle in the shop on a couple of occasions. They have done a thorough diagnostic check and and just their knowledge of vehicles and diagnosed by vehicles problems quickly and accurately. They were right up front with everything. Just terrible service. they went and fixed my car, the car didn`t run right, and wouldnt idle normally. they told me they fixed it, and i paid them 500 dollars for this. Car was fine for 3 days then started doing the same this as before. I brought it back and they finally fixed it right, but didnt refund me for the first service which didnt fix the car. I would give 1 star if at all possible. I brought my vehicle in for inspection, I told them to find the problem and to let me know what it is and we would go from there. I also told them to let me know if/when any charges would be applied. They assured me they would let me know. They have the car for about a week and a half, they call me and tell me they have found the problem. They thought it was a cam angle sensor ... view morefor my car, and wanted me to pay 700 for a new one plus labor. I found a brand new one for 75 from the factory and go out there and replace it myself. Well replacing this didn`t do anything, the car still would die and not start. Installation is not rocket science either, it is a sensor that is merely plugged in. I am somewhat of a mechanic and after a couple hours of wrenching I realize that the problem is not the CAS (cam angle sensor) but my MAF (mass air flow sensor). This is after they charged me nearly 200 dollars for their "diagnostic work" which I wasn`t told about until I come to see the car. They wouldn`t give me the keys until I paid. So, as any normal person would, I politely ask for a refund, or even to cut the cost in half, being that they had gotten the diagnostic wrong in the first place. Doug and Blake both told me that I will NOT be receiving a refund because they didn`t warranty anything and if they had "had the time" to do more tests, surely they could have found the problem. Summary: They had it for over a week, misdiagnosed the problem, charged me for "diagnostic time" which may or may not have even happened because there is no proof that they had even worked on it. Worst yet they refuse to refund even half of the amount owed which is around $87.00. That is all I asked of them. To be honest and know when they had made a mistake and admit it. BUT THEY DIDN`T. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHEN THEY SAY THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO. THEY DON`T COMMUNICATE COST, AND THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. Take my advice, you won`t be sorry.

The service was excellent. They went above and beyond to help out my daughter who is a student at Pitt State with her car repair. I can`t say enough about this auto repair shop.
