Finally got my car back today. Words of caution: The mechanics at Expert Auto Kare (their "K", not mine) are at worst, crooks, at best, incompetent. After replacing my ignition, they then said I had a bad Body Control Module, so I paid another $350 to fix that. THEN they said I had a bad alternator, and said it`d cost another $350 to fix/replace that. At this point, I said "Whoa!", had them charge... view more the battery, picked it up and took it to another shop, a GOOD shop, Quality Exhaust and Automotive Repair. The alternator was fine. The lead paint eating chimps at Expert hadn`t reconnected things correctly. I realize everyone makes mistakes, but the whole thing just smells like a scam to me. I feel pretty stupid for not having sensed it before I did. Long story short, AVOID Expert Auto Kare! (and any auto shop that puts a cutesy spelling in their name and a freakin` Koala on their logo).
