Don`t recommend getting your car serviced here!

I`ve been to Ambassador Subaru twice and will never be going back for anything. The first visit (a few years ago when I first moved into town) resulted in being over-charged for a simple lube and filter change. The mechanic also read off a list of things that ""needed"" to be fixed including the entire windshield because of a small crack at the very bottom (in the line-of-sight to the back of the hood), a new battery... view more (of which I replaced 4-5 years later) and I`m almost certain they removed my cabin air filter so that I would have to bring in my car again to get it replaced. 4 years later I decided to try them again when they sent me a coupon that advertised a lube and filter change for $12.99, down from $44.99 ($32 discount). I set up an appointment and when I brought the car in I asked the service manager about routinely having to add oil every several weeks ever since I switched to a full synthetic 2 years ago. He quoted that a full synthetic oil change would run $80 and we eventually agreed that the best idea would be to return to the synthetic blend (which is what I had been using when I first bought the car and never had any problems with) and that it would be cheaper. When I returned to pick up my car, the cashier charged me $55 even after the coupon, which was a total savings of just over $20.
I haven`t had any (good, bad, or otherwise) experience with the sales team, but I can say, with 100% confidence, that I will NEVER be returning to Ambassador Subaru, nor will I recommend that others have their cars serviced there.
