AVOID-HORRIBLE, INCOMPETENT

1) We first brought the car to J&L to repair a simple leaky gasket. The problem was NEVER fixed. They kept telling us they found and fixed the problem, but it was never fixed. In all, we went through 3 rounds of this, where they did some work and said it was fixed, we drove off a few miles but had to turn around and come back because it was still not fixed. 2) Whatever they did, it created more problems. The... view more transmission/engine light came on when we left the shop, but it wasn`t on when we came in. 3) Once when I had to come back, there was a line and the lady in front of me was complaining about a similar issue; she came in for a simple oil change, but had to come back because her engine light was now coming on. 4) In total, we spent nearly $1000 across all these visits and the issue we brought the car in for was never fixed. We were misled about the repairs being made and/or J&L didn`t know what the issue was themselves - incompetent. They were wasting our time and money. 5) Ultimately, they misdiagnosed my cars problem and through all the back and forth, they killed the engine. Im now out $15,000!!! So I was refusing to pay for the last visit, since my car was now dead. 6) To top it all off, they held my car for ransom to take my money from the last repair work that still didnt fix it. He only conceded to let us have our car back once I said I would call the police and I explained I was donating the car to Best Friends animal sanctuary charity.
