This place is the ONLY place that I would ever take my car/van for transmission work. The price is right and Craig is the real deal. He is straight up and as honest as can be and he knows what he is doing. I had my transmission rebuilt about a year and half ago and since then, he has honored his 3 year 36,000 mile warranty to replace a gasket when the pan was leaking AND to replace a sensor that had gone bad just t... view moreoday. I was referred to Craig and Gene`s Transmission from a good friend of mine that is a master mechanic who told me how great he was, and he was 100% correct. If you live in or near Cobb or Paulding Counties, you NEED to bring your car/van to Gene`s Transmissions to be 100% sure that you are not only getting a great deal, but that you will KNOW he is telling you the truth. (Which in today`s world is something I myself, RARELY ever know, when it comes to having my car/van worked on.)

They are good about seeming to...

They are good about seeming to persevere with a job, but really their priorities are elsewhere. They did honor their warranty when a ~10 month old rebuilt transmission of theirs started leaking in my van. Since then, their warranty has proven worthless! They have had my van SINCE MARCH 2012 - it is now SEPTEMBER. That`s 7 MONTHS of them `trying to fix` my car, while every time I check on it nothing has changed or eve... view moren been touched! Everytime I call, I get a different story told about what`s happening. I`ve even been told outright lies just to make me go away! The boss, Craig, even told me a specific employee `doesn`t know what he`s talking about.` Now the company won`t even answer when I call - I have to go out there in person just to track them down and force them to talk to me! I can`t get the car towed, because the transmission and axle are removed - not that anything has changed with the car or parts in the past 7 months! I`m trapped, without a car, in a very bad spot - AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!

Great Job!

These guys worked real hard to get my 91 Pathfinder up and running again. They could have given up but didn`t. I bought a used transmission first and I only wanted then to install it for me. Once they tried to put a new filter in it they saw the transmission was junk. They let me know before they put it in and it cost more money. He quoted one price before he knew how difficult it was going to be and he stuck to that price. It`s hard to find a company that will stand by what they say.
