Reviews:

great price and service
Look... I`m not one to post reviews online about anything. but I must say... the guys at Factory Direct Transmission in Altamonte really hooked me up. It sucks (transmission issues) any way you slice it but these guys were the only ones in town that were honest with me, saved me money, stuck to the estimate with no surprises and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Outstanding service, outstanding product, outs... view moretanding warranty and best of all outstanding PRICE! Pros: great price

rip off
This company is just one big scam. First off, on some sites they claim to be member of Atra- Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association............which they are not. They (FTD) also stack most review sites with their own false reviews. For example, one site in particular had a positive review about a month ago as a customer called ""sweetdikwillie"" (no joke). Now, if you look at that site you`ll see a ad for th... view moreem under the same name. If you take your car in to them be prepared to cough up a couple thousand or possibly lose your car.You take your car in to have it looked at and they tell you ""well on initial inspection we can`t find the problem so we`ll have to take out the transmission."" What they don`t tell you is that it`s going to cost a fortune. They are also going to give you the run around. When you do get a hold of them they`re are probably going to claim that they`ve already started work on the car so now you have to pay for repairs. They more than likely have not even touched your car. Before taking your car in, first look at your transmission (find out what looks like) check to see if you can find a serial number or make some sort of identifiable mark on it. I have a reason to say this. If you make the mistake of taking your car to them, try to stay there until the work is done. If that`s not possible go down there in person and don`t let them put you off. If they claim it`s not finished make them show you the car. Ask to see under the hood (it`s your right) they`ll most likely tell you that they can`t do that because of insurance reasons or some other excuse .........demand to see your car. Always make sure you get a written estimate for any diagnostic or repair work first. Unfortunately we did not have this knowledge at the time. If this happens to you file a claim with a Consumer Services agency. Good luck.

Taken
We took our car in to Factory Direct Trans. to find out what was wrong with the transmission. They were supposed to only look at it and give us a estimate, instead they claimed to have fixed it and wanted to charge over $1800. We contacted several other repair companies and told them what Factory Direct Trans. said was wrong with the vehicle and how much they were charging and ""every"" last one of them told us we ha... view mored been taken. Some even laughed because the price was so outrageous. They boast about their A+ BBB rating but you need very little to get that that rating, look it up.......
