I am a mechanic and engineer. I brought them my car because it sprung a major oil leak the night before I left for Thanksgiving. They told me I needed over $1K worth of work (most due to a rear main seal). I had them replace what I thought the problem was, a oil pressure sensor, and then followed up. They said it was still leaking as before and needed a new rear main seal. I can do the work myself, so I drove back ea... view morerly and had it towed home. First I started it up to verify the leak. However, there was no longer a major leak. Only a very small drip from my oil filter adapter. Had I not chosen to do the work myself they would have done a very expensive and unnecessary repair. I called the owner and he was very short with me, indifferent, and basically hung up on me. I called back as I was in disbelief. His only excuse was that they may have figured this out after they started the job. Complete nonsense! That is what the estimate (which he charged me for) is supposed to accomplish.
