I went to Pinellas Auto brokers three times looking for a safe car for myself and my new born son. I spoke with three different salesmen including Jason, Brian, and another who called himself DJ or some initials. I asked for details on a couple vehicles that I was comparing. They all told me and my witness: ""all of our cars are checked by our mechanics before being placed on our lot."" ""We don?ˆ™t sell cars that have... view more any problems; we send them to auction"" ""this one is really good, a great choice for you."" ""If anything goes wrong we will fix it for you etc..."" These were all lies. The small SUV I bought sounded good during the short test drive but began loudly knocking on the way home. I took it to a mechanic who informed me that the engine was blown and that some sort of heavy oil and/or sealant had been put in the engine. Apparently this is a trick shady people use to defraud buyers. The next business day I had the SUV towed back to them. They got all nervous and lied about everything then claimed they were going to look at it and fix it for days. Finally they admitted the engine was blown but refused to fix it or refund me. Brian even had the nerve to lie and say ""maybe it`s the just the starter wana buy a starter!"" trying to scam me out of even more money! I am suing of course. VERY HAPPY!! Just bought my van from here. had it 3 weeks now, kids love it , no more borrowing sisters car!! I LOVE IT!! It has higher milage, but cant beat the price they gave me. had only a fixed price to work with they are very nice people, very professional!! JUST BOUGHT MY VAN FOR THE FAMILY , IT HAS BEEN A MONTH NOW AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE VAN AND PINELLAS AUTO BROKERS!! THE PEOPLE ARE FANTASTIC!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!! This car lot is a scam. They said they wanted a low down payment of $299 as advertised on the window of the car, but when I wanted to get the car they wanted $600 down. I got the car and put down $500 and they deferred the other $100 till the following Fri. When that Fri came they wanted there money and I reminded the guy in charge Brian that I only get paid every 2 weeks and that the car had a bad b... view moreall joint and bad breaks. He assured me that I could bring the car in for repairs and that I could pay teh $100 on my payday b/c I get paid every two weeks. Well 3 days before my payday i go to leave work and the car was repoed. They kept hanging up on me when I tried to call and Brian the guy in charge would never even speak to me on the phone. They told me to bring in the key and get my stuff back or pay $575 to get the car pack. I only had the car a week and 1/2. I not only lost $500 that I put down on the car but they also stole $4.00 in change, my sun glasses, 2 beach towels and a bag of tools that I had in the car. MANY OF MY CO-WORKERS HAVE BOUGHT FROM THIS PLACE AND HAVE HAD VERY GOOD CARS FROM THEM, SO I WENT IN AND ALSO WAS ALSO TREATED VERY GOOD.
