Like many others I was ripped off by Rick`s. They are sweet and kind until you sign then all down hill from there I was in a jam and ended up in a mess! The vehicle 2003 Saturn was towed to him in less that 48 hours with two flat tires. Within one month it quit 6 times....yeap complete run around so after 6 months and $800 in repairs was completely discusted. Had put $10 worth of gas and went to start it and heard a sound I had never heard from a vehicle in my life. When the tow truck driver got there funny enough he was a master mechanic for Saturn and when I turned the key he said STOP! Seems some of the 2003/2004 Ions had timing chains instead of timing belts. So being a prior mechanic for the AF did my homework and found the Transportation Authority notice, the Company recall/inspection notice and other notifications. Took all my info to Rick`s and he was out sick. Asked Brenda if I should write down what I found out, she said yes. Yeah she is just like him....doesnt give a crap if the car they sell us crap. So after my 2 page explanation on the issue and advising them to not to buy any more of these hungs of junks at auction he never even had the courtesy to call me. I am a Total and Permantally disabled single parent and they screwed me over! Would love to get them black-balled, Red-lined, restricted or banned for Military personel at Mayport and Jax NAS if possible. I have shared my story with many and put the word out every chance I get. Do yourself a huge favor and go a little further down to Auto-Line. Ask for Porkchop or anyone else, they will do you right!!! Please learn from my mistake. Oh yeah, still paying on my gold rock because it cost more to fix it than what the Blue Book Value is!!! This is their pattern folks. Have researched this for months and have found 19 complaints very similiar to mine.

I just got a truck from here less the 2 weeks ago. I pd $8,000 cash for it & so far it has been a nightmare. Started having issues with it after the 1st week. Call & spoke to Rick to see if he knew of it doing this before. Of course he was clueless to everything. Now into week 2... It will not start in the mornings. I have to mess with it and try to jump start it every morning. Yesterday I got stranded in Ora... view morenge Park @ 11am. I called Rick once again to let him know what was going on. I had a friend who is a cert. Machanic come to where I was at and look @ it. He told me it was the starter because there was a leak in the valve cover that was pouring oil onto it. While I was speaking with Rick he told me that he was not going to pay for any repairs. I was told by him & his son when I got it that if there were any issues in the 1st 30 days to let him know becuase he will take care of it... "We wouldn`t have been able to stay in business for 25 years if we didnt take care of people". I asked him what I was suppose to do. I was told, "well do what normal people do, and tow it here so we can fix it!" Wtf!! Normal people?? Ok. So I ask if he is going to pay for the towing since I am in OP and he is all the way down on Mayport Rd. I was told no. So after me blowing up I had to had the phone to my friend/ machanic to have him deal with this rude person. He finally agrees to pay for the starter if I bring him the reciept for it. He will also fix the valve cover leak. (Which btw.... He had to have known was there because before we got it we even told him we smelled burning oil. He had his "detailing" people spray it off so we would not be able to see that it was leaking. We finally got it down there, where it still sits and who knows for how long because we were told they cant find any problems with it. So they are going to have to keep it over night to see that it wont start in the morning. I am so pissed that this man is right outside of the navy base, and Im sure thats where he gets 90% of his business. I am prior Navy and I personally would love to see this place get black balled by the base. As of right now, I am out $8,000 but at least I have a pretty POS SUV that wont run. I beg anyone who is thinking of getting a car/truck from here.... GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! DO NOT BUY FROM RICK`S

I bought my car from rick`s on 2/2012. Rick`s service was pretty good. I had bought a car from them that had no working A/c, broken radio antenna, and an o2 sensor was bad (whatever that is). they advertised the car with a/c and tape deck am/fm radio. I complained about it and they fixed it free of charge and even added the sensor thing in. The only problem that I did have with the car was that it had a cracked winsh... view moreield and Rick said he cannot sell it to me for the 2500 I wanted to pay and that I would have to pay extra for the windshield. he quoted that his guys can do it for $150 and I ended up paying 2650 altogether for the car. Not bad of a deal and the car runs pretty good. My mercury runs fine and any little thing that bugs me about it I call them and they end up being nice at guiding me through whatever needs to be done. (such as checking fluids )

I bought a car from there.07/03/2010. N less than a wk i was having problems with the car. I took it 2 a machanic $1500 to fix it &that was just 2 start, not including everything wrong with the car.When i called them they seem sooo nice, bring it back we will work on it for you, don`t worry about, we will take care of it. "The messages on the dash supposed 2tell you what`s wrong with the car." The oil light was coming on, the car was running hot,(all of the coolant was leaving out going some where), The check engine soon light was on,But Rick tells me, the check engine soon light never came on while he had it,then car never ran hot while he had it,it never ran out of coolant while he had it,the oil light never came on while he had it, how ever the main rear seals were leaking just like the manchanic said it was, that`s why he put stop leak in it. I was steady complaining that i needed a good running car. That i took out a student loan to get a car 2 carry me for the next 4 years while i finish my BA Degree,& the plan was 2 get a job, in which i needed good transportation2 get around,2 &from work, 2 &from school. They assured me this was a good car. However when i asked Rick about the car, he locked his fingers behind his head, &leaned back in the chair he was sitting in,& stated that "No" car dealer can Guarantee a car that they sale, & know for how long it will run, last, or if it will make it out of town, if they do then they would be lie`ing. My ques. to him was i had plans 2 go on a family reunion, (1 in atlanta Ga,1 in augusta Ga,and one in pensecola Fl) did he think the car would be able 2 get me to all these places and still run in the city of jacksonville. ( i did not go 2 any of the reunions, i was2 scared to drive the car)Sents i don`t have a job & the only place i go 2 is to school & the store, i don`t drive that offten, but every time i do, the car runs hot, i have 2 put water/coolant in the car before i go any where. sents then a light came on saying traction control, i don`t know what that means, but when i checked the oil the car only had a little bit in it, so rick must have disabled the oil light to keep it from coming on. The air blows cold but at times is smells like the air it is blowing has chemicals/gas in it so i let the windows down 2 get some fresh air, the back windows didn`t want 2 go back up, & one of them is still down, it will not go back up, so i have a bag over it. Thurs. i went 2 buy some boxes 2 pack my son`s stuff up, ?¬ice the lights were on, the controls in the car would not turn them off, the next day i`m trying 2 take care of business, i just so happen 2come home to get my son, & the car stopped on me, it was dead, would not crank, would not turn over, nothing, the battery light came on, then it said no charge, i took the money i was about 2 buy food with & bought a battery$100+, the car crank up but still said the same thing, no charge,mechanic said i need a alternator,i called the shop it`s $500, & once again that might not fix all the problem, but only lead to a new one.So 2 be clear, That`s $1500 &$500=$2000 worth of repairs, if i spend $100 i can get a list of everything wrong with the car.($2100) However i don`t have a job, so i don`t have extra money laying around. The car was only $2500 with my towncar trade in.It`s only been about a month of hell with this car, now it`s a paper wait sitting in my yard, i have zero trans po to get my son 2 school, to get me 2 school,to get 2 a job,to get 2 a grocery store,i can`t buy my son`s uniforms for school.I have nothing,& still must pay back this loan.& Ricks gets to get away with selling me a Lemon.
