Drive on... My wife had a n...

Drive on... My wife had a nail in her SUV tire that is clearly visible in the tread pattern, about 1.75" from the sidewall. I suggested that she take the car to Firestone to have the tire patched--I also warned her that no matter what they would try to sell her either one or more tires because that`s the way Firestone and Goodyear operate in Boynton Beach (personal experience). She took the car in, requeste... view mored a patch, and left the car to go shopping within walking distance. Sure enough...It took an hour for someone to call her and report that the tire was "un-patchable" because "the nail was in the sidewall"--they indicated that a new tire was needed. I know for a fact that that is complete B.S. If I have of taken the car in I don`t believe they would have tried this stunt with me. When I have time I`ll do the job myself. In the meantime the FlatFix is in there and working ok... If you are a woman I would recommend that you avoid this place like the plague...Men, do realize that this shop is comprised of complete douchers...
