It`s been a long time since of purchased a car so when they told me they would mail me the title after I paid for vehicle, tax, tag, and title I didn`t think that was unusual. Turns out, it`s illegal for someone to sell you a car when they don`t have the title in hand. It means they don`t actually own the car, they may be waiting on the title from the auction. Sure enough, after 45 days when I hadn`t received the... view more title I call them. They tell me I owe the $610 based on a hand written note on a folder. They say they don`t remember me and the dealer who sold me the car is out of the country. I have a receipt saying that I paid for the car with no balance to be paid at a later date. They have no legally acceptable paperwork showing that I owe them money. I am now taking them to court.
