Un-needed Repairs

This Dealership service is friendly but very deceptive. I had them look at my air conditioner last summer since it had stop blowing cold air. They said the car needed a new compressor and it would be expensive. I couldn`t afford it (and I was suspicious after awful dealings with Smith-Cairns Ford/Subaru service in Yonkers) so I went the rest of the summer without it. This June, I took my Outback to a Goodyear service... view more center. They looked at it and said it still had some freon in it, but couldn`t find a leak. No one had ever put freon with a tracer dye to find a leak if it exists. They fill it with freon with the dye and guess what? The compressor is working fine and I`ve had AC for two weeks now and no problems. I might have a slow leak somewhere (still can`t find one yet), but that compressor is fine, it never needed a new one.
