DO NOT ALLOW BOB`S TOWING to tow your car. They will mislead you, entrap you when you`re in a vulnerable position by being quick on the scene to tow your car after an accident. They will be rude and punishing if you don`t use their repair shop -- once they get your car in their possession after towing. This was one of the worst customer experiences of my life. THE SITUATION: Although my insurance company had arranged for another tow company, the CHP officer on the scene of the accident suggested it would be ""faster in getting off the freeway"" if I used Bob`s Towing. CHP promised the same service as the tow company my insurance arranged. So, I canceled the other tow service, and agreed to go with the ""faster"" service. (This was all being decided under duress -- trauma of getting into an accident, it`s getting dark, we`re stranded on the freeway, cars whizzing by and everyone is wanting to go home.) END RESULT: On the freeway, after being in a accident, Bob`s towing arrived, then exhorted me saying I would have to pay cash of $170 to drop my car off at my preferred body shop, which was actually closer than theirs (PLEASE NOTICE the ""owner"" claims they will drop off a car for $75 -- see City posting). When I said no, the tow serviceman then said I could simply get my insurance company to tow the car to my shop the next day. Next day, Bob`s made me come in person, rudely refused to release my car because I would not get my repairs done there (they reminded me that they too accepted my USAA insurance). My husband, whose name in on the registration, now needs to personally appear at Bob`s Towing to get our car released to the other body shop. He`s on vacation in a remote area with only a land line phone connection. He wanted to discuss the matter by phone with Bob`s staff, but Bob said that since I ""did not have the right attitude"" that they will not release the car -- choosing to hold to a technicality to make it difficult for us.

Our car was impounded off the street while awaiting repairs. The registration was expired and the title lost. We paid the fees (over $800) to Bob`s along with towing fee to junk car, title transfer, and sales transfer. They were abusive when we tried to explain DMV would not give junk slip without original title and the notarized title transfer would allow them to get title. Title was requested but DMV is backlogg... view moreed and slow to send. They refuse to listen to the fact that DMV will not give us any other paperwork to junk car.

I recently experienced the misfortune of being stranded on the side of the freeway in rush hour traffic with car troubles. Sure, I had always seen others who also fell prey to this same mishap, yet because I have always drove newer vehicles, I had always felt confidant that I would never be among one of those ""unfortuneate motorists"". I had called my insurance company for assistance and was informed of a possible wait of 60 mins. before help would arrive. This can feel like 60 years when sidelined motionless as traffic flew by so dangerously close. Fortuneately, My luck would quickly turn for the better, I mention quickly because of the fact that within only 15 mins. Rick, a Tow Truck Driver from BOB`S TOWING, arrived on the scene and in a very professional, and politefull manner, suggested a place of repair close by, and took precautions to load my vehicle with care as if it were his own, and in no time flat, we were on the road and out of the danger zone! I must admit, my perceptions of the towing industry has certainly changed for the better since the service I recieved with BOB`S TOWING. Their professional, and friendly service was Greatly appreciated by myself, and I would highly recommend their service to anyone who may find themselves in a similar situation in need of roadside assistance! They trully are the Tops in the Towing Buisness! and I am greatfull for their service and assistance that day when I so needed it!
