My wife brought in a 2009 Prius with only 10,000 miles. They told her she needs a cabin air filter, so she told them if it needs it do it. Then when I found out that she was charged $65 for a cabin filter on a 10,000 mile car I went in and demanded to see the original filter. It was PERFECT, no dirt whatsoever.
