Reviews:

great service
I signed up for an account just so I could give Stevens Creek Volkswagen the props it deserves. I am by no means a car person and feel a warm glow simply by figuring out how to open the hood. So as you can imagine I am very wary of being ripped of or taken for a ride by a mechanic because everyone knows somebody who was victim to a dishonest mechanic I`m new to the city and found these guys by searching on Go... view moreogle. I took my Touareg there because on an issue with the car. From the moment I walked in and greeted by Joe Castelino and his crew, I felt like I came to the right place, and now that the work has been done- I`m still convinced of it. They were fast and even gave me a no charge rental the day I brought it in! They were fairly priced and were very patient in explaining to me all the intricacies of the problem I was having and now I actually feel like I`ve grown a couple of chest hairs from that butch manly knowledge. It was easy for me to get over there from HWY 280 and it was well worth the trip and I will be going back the next time I need to (which i hope is not any time soon). 5 Stars easy. Joe

Great service
Just wanted to share this with everyone, so I wanted to share here as well... Okay.. who really wants to go to a Car Dealership and go through the hassles.??? Oh yeah but I have no choice since I have bad credit and it`s my first car too... I was really impressed with this dealership, especially with Frank and Raja. They both were very friendly, helpful and not pushy. I would recommend them to all my friends and ... view morefamily. Thank you again to all that helped us as we are very excited and happy about our new car and the deal we received. !!

best service ever.....
My experience was very very good. I read all the reviews on internet and I still went there anyway because they had the car I wanted in stock.
So, Mark the salesman approached me and he was very nice and told me everything I need to know about the Jetta. I had a great deal which is better pricing than carsdirect website. Finance guy was pleasant and I got the rate which I had it in my mind. Overall, I experienced... view more a better service than what others mentioned in their review. I will give them my business again..

Bad business practices and lies
I would give this dealership zero stars but the program forces me to choose at least one. I recently leased or thought I had leased a new CC. I submitted a credit application one week prior to heading over to the dealership to look at the car. They said I was approved and sent me home with lease contract, and my new car. Two weeks goes by and I recieve a generic looking letter in the mail stating that they cannot fin... view mored financing and I must return the vehicle. So I call the finance manager who lies to me and says that he never said the car was mine! Why would my name be on the registration of a car that isn`t mine? He then goes on to say that if I want to buy a different car, or agree to a different down payment he can draw up a new financing contract. I thought they couldn`t get financing for me, sounds like they are trying to make more money out of the deal. I am returning the now used car to them and will take my business to a legitimate dealership. I would recommend that everyone stay away from the crooks at this dealership. Bad business is not a good thing to practice in a slow economy, when plenty of other places are hungry for a sale.

I am taking legal action against Stevens Creek VW
In December of 2007, I received a promotional letter addressed to me from SCVW to bring in my 2004 Beetle to trade in for a new 2007.
I went readily as I had purchased a 2004 Beetle from them, but the payments were high, and I wanted to unload it because I needed more room as I now had disabilities and a dog. The dealership did not honor the promotion which stipulated no money down, and made no credit worthiness di... view moresclaimer. They kept me there from 1Pm until near 8PM bringing out various older modelled cars Jetta and Passant and other makes, trying to get me to buy a model years less than the one I had. They did not sell me an` 07 VW. They said my credit was not good enough. They eventually sold me a trade-in 2005 Taurus (didn`t tell me it was aleased vehicle) and wrote the contract for $300 downpay of $294 a month. Shortly, they claimed they could not finance the car at that price, and without my consent tore up the contract and wrote another, raising the price.
Eventually I went home, but two days later they called me in because that deal didn`t fly with their financers. So, they filled out the change of contract form this time, and wrote another contract, increasing the interest rate and cost. Before tis deal was over, I paid $500 downpay and they had written the contract three times; let me take the car and after 20 days, they send me registered mail trying to rescind the deal because the financing fell through. At the last minute, they found financing, and I kept the car. Later, I found the car had mechancal problems( brakes) and odometer and that the drive train warranty (with a$250.00 deductible--no less) was wortheless. They are a remorseless, thieving and slick bunch. Stay away. I`ll never do business with them again. I am suing. Oh, I reported to them DMV and they recommended I do the action. That`s the recourse. No stars for them. The program made me choose one.

snotty and patronizing
They were unwilling to negotiate the difference of about $1,000 on a used 2003 passat, two weeks before their new fleet of cars was/is scheduled to arrive. Cheesy used car dealer tactics.... for some reason I expected more. Definitely disappointed.

Zero customer service and poor technicians
I went there to have a valve cover gasket replaced for the third time on my 2001 passat. After the work was completed I drove back to work for a couple hours. When I went out to my car there was a puddle of oil on the ground. I tried to contact someone in the service department, but of course it is a ghost town after 6PM. Luckily the Sales manager David Wei said if I could drive to the dealership he would let me ... view moreborrow a car.

I found out the next day that the new cam tension was bent during installation. I was told that they would wipe down the bottom of my car which was covered in oil from the night before. I looked under it and there were still droplets underneath. I pointed this out to the service adviser and his comment was ""you can bring it tomorrow"". They definitely do not know how to handle a customer after they make a couple mistakes. I would find a local shop to work on your car and never go there. They do not show any feeling of remorse it seems. They said sorry, but I did not get the impression they mean it.

Worst post-sales service I have ever encountered
I spent over $32,000 on a new car at the dealership and in return, I received the rudest post-sales service. Where shall I begin? Let`s start with Raja, who sold me my car. I ordered accessories that were initially supposed to be delivered with the car. Then at contract signing, I was told that I would get the accessories within weeks, possibly days. 6 weeks pass. No contact from the dealership. When I call to ask Ra... view moreja for an update, he tells me that delivery of the accessories is not his problem, I need to work with Service department. I tell him he needs to handle it and Raja responds by hanging up on me.

When I informed his sales management of the situation, they defended him. ""Raja didn`t mean to hang up on you. It was an accident"". Well, why not call me back then. ""Raja had another customer coming in"". The attitude was sorry for the inconvenience but now you got what you need so leave us alone. Never again would I buy a car from them.

Good service department
I went to a mechanic with smoke coming out of the engine chamber on my VW passat. My regular mechanic quoted an exorbitant amount for the repair, and I was concerned about violating the warranty. So I then went to Stevens Creek VW, and they said that it was covered under limited parts train warranty and hence free of cost. They also recommended me to change the timing belt even though it was only 60k miles and I had... view more the car for 7 years. They recommended other services and parts replacements, but they never pressured me to get them done, just calmly told me the consequences and told me it was upto me. I initially declined all the extra services, but then later called them over the phone and got most of them done. I was treated with courtesy and respect and that prompted me to give them my business. I also got the managers specials and the deal turned out to be very sweet.

never buy a car or have it serviced here unless you have money to throw away!
I have never had such horrible customer service. They took my Cabrio into the shop on a saturday it is now 2 weeks and i have not seen my car! They have not even gotten my parts yet! Thats fine, but i work 2 jobs and go to school so being without a car is not in my best interest. I could not get any help from the service department unless you count un returned phone calls. They lied to VW of america as to when my car... view more would be finished and they refuse to give me a loner vehicle as it is not under my warranty. I have been to another service shop and never had a problem with a loner vehicle. unless you want your car in the hands of un friendly and incompetent liers stay far far away from this place.
