Called several places about the small rock chip ding on my windshield.
He actually explained the windshield repair over the phone and asked my a lot of questions so he coud determine if it was repairable.
They other places tried to mention price, but not what they would actually do.
I decided on ASAP because he does only one thing:
windshield rock chip repair.
He doesn`t replace windshields.

My wife called several other businesses that purtported to do windshield repair. One of them was actually based in southern california. Three of them didn`t even ask her anything about the rock chip damage. They just wanted to come out to our house or have us come to their shop, depending on where we called. He was very patient and thorough on the phone. This is consistent with what others said in their reviews. As he explained it, there is no way to know if it`s repairable unless you as a number of questions over the phone. In the long run this save time and everybody is more happy because they know what to expect. We were certainly happy. He was totally unobtrusive. He was out to our house in the Sunset within an hour of our call. I unlocked the car and he went to work. About 45 minutes later, our windshield had only a slight spot, where before it looked really bad. He explained (has he already had on the phone), that the repair will sometimes look different depending on the temperature of the glass and lighting. The mobile service made it painless and he was very cordial Rock chip repair is all he does and he doesn`t have employees. We liked this fact. It meant we knew exactly who would be repairing the damage on our windshield.

I wish everything thing could be this stress free and convenient. He established clearly over the phone that the rock chip on my windshield could be properly repaired and last the life of my car. He only does windshield repair, so he said he wouldn`t try to sell me a windshield (as the several other places I called tried to do)

Don`t know why, but review didn`t seem to show up (so pardon me if this duplicates what I wrote earlier).
This is the third time I`ve used Greg at ASAP. I used him about 10 yrs. ago on my Mustang, which my son now drives (that repair still looks wonderful). I had him to our residence last week to do a second windscreen repair on our Infiniti. I had forgotten where the first repair from a couple years back was u... view morentil this 2nd chip on the same windscreen. This time the chip is on the other side of the windscreen. Each time he has been very easy to work with (I don`t need anymore stress, we are having our house remodeled). He had the repair completed well before he said he would.
Going up to the Sierras for some cross country sking. Hope I don`t pich up another ding on my windscreen.

Greg at ASAP Mobile WIndshield Repair is like the windscreen repair saviour. He filled in the bad rock bull`s eye on my windscreen. It looks simply fabulous and he says it will last as long as the car. (Gave a lifetime money back against failure.) He made it very convenient. I especially liked his quick arrival because I had the misfortune of a chip on the windscreen of another car and I waited too long and it cracked halfway across the windscreen.
He is very straightforward and clear in his answers on the phone. Some of the other places were rather vague and more interested it changing my windscreen. When I ended up having to replace the windscreen on the other vehicle that I mentioned from a few ;years ago, I ended up with water leakage every time it rained or I ""ventured"" through the car wash.
No worries with this car.
Greg is a keeper (err, his card I mean).

Greg did come out to repair the rock damage windshield on my Sienna minivan ASAP.
He was prompt and had it repaired and ready to drive when he said he would. I not want to have the cost and worry of replacement. I felt that repairing the damage (less than a quarter coin with the cracks) was a much better choice. I believe I was correct as I am very happy with the repair he did.

Thought after a lifetime of working on cars and being around the race track I knew everthing there was to know about repairing and maintaining cars. Not! I knew about the existence of windshield repair second hand through friends and trade magazines but had never actually had a windshield chip repaired.

I had called around after speaking with him and no one else offered a money back guarantee. They tried to appease me by saying they`d apply it towards a windshield if it cracked. No way. Do they think me crazy? These other places just didn`t seem confident, not only by the fact that they weren`t willing to give me a meaningful guarantee, but also because it sounded like windshield repair is secondary to them. Not so with ASAP. He sounded like a scientist explaing the intricacies of windshield repair on the phone, but looked like an artist in performing the repair.
He seems to take pride in his work. When was the last time you heard that. Call me old fashioned.

My friends that have had repairs done said his repair looked as good as and better than most they`s seen.

I `ve had friends who have had their windshield repaired & then all they do is complain about how poor a job the place did. Too bad they didn`t call ASAP.My friends (only 3) had taken their cars to glass shops. BAD choice. First the shops tried to push a windshield replacement. When that didn`st work,

Why would they trust a place in business to replace glass to repair their windshield. Because they are cheap ... like when we order pizza and they don`t chip in. Kidding. Still love them. Heck, the glass shop probably would have done it for free knowing they would be getting to sell them a windshield soon.

ASAP is anti-replacement. His name is Greg (Gregory on his card) He sounds like a preacher ralllying against the evils of replacement. He thoroughly explained the pros/cons of both replacement and repair so that I could make up my mind. He actually wasn`t very slanted. His main point was that replacement and repair have ABSOLUTELY nothing in common. He said that having someone repair your windshield that is actually in business to replace windshield is like having someone who paints houses paint you car.
The skills, experience, materials and equipment have nothing in common. He also said have a person who replaces windshields repair your windshield is like the expression having the fox guard the hen house.

He asked me to figure out over the phone whether it`s repairable so as not to waste either of our time driving out ... so be patient, it may take a while. Told me the damage had been a little contaminated by being outsided at night for several weeks (fog in the Sunset District), explained the repair process, gave me an exact price over the phone & came out to my house & repaired it.

GREAT JOB . GOOD SERVICE/PRICE.
