I went in for smog but I had a check engine light on. They went ahead and ran a smoke test which I have no idea why they would even do that. They told me I had a manifold and exhaust leak and I needed to replace two pigtail, they wanted to give my car a complete tune up when all I needed was for it to pass smog. They wanted to change my spark plugs and the wires which I immediatly thought was fishy because I just rec... view moreently replaced them myself. The total cost they quoted me was $1300, over $800 just for labor. I decided that I would take my car somewhere else and im glad I did, they were trying to fix things that didnt need fixing and charge me a fortune when all I needed was a simple smog check, All that needed replaced was 2 sensors. All is good now but watch out for these ppl, they are dishonest!

This place is great!! They are very friendly and make sure you understand what is wrong with your car and what is needed to fix it. They aren`t expensive either.. comparing to other places I went to .. they were the most reasonable by far. Another shop tried selling me a complete odd job and went into other areas that I didn`t think were necessary and when I came here they even showed me what was wrong and only sold ... view moreme the job I needed.. They were so helpful, I couldn`t hardly pull into the driveway, I was told by a local dealership that I needed and engine and that it would cost $9000.00, for my 2002 ford pickup F150, I needed a second opinion and went to Victor Valley`s Smog Service and Repair and where the owner Gene listened to my situation and said we will let our technician diagnose your engine and see if it really needs to be replaced, after t... view morehe diagnostic the shop advised me that all I needed was a $4.00 vacuum line hose to the main vacuum of the intake manifold. I was shocked and sooo happy. it cost me less than a $100 to get my vehicle repaired, I am still driving my vehicle and I am so thankful there is still honesty in the world, I wouldn`t take my vehicle anywhere else, I told my family and friends about them also, Thank you Victor Valley Smog Service and Repair
