300% Mark Up on Parts

Auto Pros does good work. However, they mark up the prices for parts 300%. I recently had some work done there and was charged $100.00 for a $17.00 part and $189.00 for a $69.00 part and they won`t allow you to bring in your own parts. This is because they won`t warranty the work if you bring in your own part. I questioned the owner about this as this is considerably more than the traditional part mark up of 20%. He ... view moresaid, "You don`t think I could make it on just the labor rate (75.00 hr) do you? Do you know how much it cost to rent this building? " WOW! Like I really care about that. Rent a cheaper facility. Don`t jerk me around for parts. I paid for 3 replacement parts up front even if I never need them. Hows that for an obvious rip off? I don`t mind paying but I don`t want to feel like I`ve been taken.
