Take Every Car for a Compression Test

I bought a car here several months ago after doing massive amounts of research on makes, models, and what was available in my price range. Granted, I could not spend very much and it`s hard to get a good car for little cash in SoCal. But I took this car to a mechanic in the area immediately after I bought it and that mechanic pointed out a few problems, but nothing I didn`t expect. So here it is, a few months later, I have already paid a lot of money to get some repairs done on the car I bought at Fortune Auto and now I am told the whole engine needs to be rebuilt. A compression test revealed oil leaking into the pistons. So I am writing this review to warn all buyers at Fortune Auto to take any car you want to purchase there for a compression test prior to buying. I know a lot about cars but did not know how vital such a test is and did not read how vital it is while researching what to check on a used car. Now I know, and now you know too. I`m sure Fortune Auto is probably no better or worse than most used car lots in the nation, but you and I can be smarter consumers. I gave the place one star because I told the owner I AM POOR and that`s why I was buying a junker car. He should have looked out for me at least a little bit and steered me toward a better, cheap car.
