I bought my Expedition used in 2006. It always shifted sloppy but the dealer said it was normal. Took it to a local transmission shop in 2009 and they rebuilt it. About three months ago it started slipping and would bump when it shifted. I use it for long distance and I pull a big trailer. I kept hoping it would hold out but it didn`t. I took it to these guys at Aamco and Bill the mechanic rebuilt the transmis... view moresion. He told me a bunch of stuff he did to it to make it last longer since I use it to tow a big trailer around the country, It cost more to put heavyy duty part in it but I`ve been about 105000 miles so far and it`s been perfect. I took it in to the shop Monday to have them service it and they said the fluid looked good so Im happy. If you want it done right and you`re not trying tobe a cheap axx then this guys the best I`ve found.

My son had a trouble with his truck. I used an Aaamco in Birmingham so I told him to go to the one in Tuscaloosa. When he got there I had him call me and me and my daddy talked to the manager Bill. He was helpful and new a lot about cars. Good thing is it was not a transmission problem like my son thout. It was something esle and cost about $200. So I felt good about that and like that they treated my son so g... view moreood. I told him to go back there anytime he had a problem with his truck.
