Won`t be using K&M Glass again. 5 months after installing laminated glass as a replacement for tempered, a crack formed from the edge, about 1` up from a corner, and was clearly caused by either a manufacturing defect or improper cleaning of the broken glass in the frame before reinstallation. K&M refused to replace, claiming laminated glass is extremely fragile, and the crack was caused by someone "bump... view moreing" up against it, or by the pressure of a plastic markerboard sign that was leaning against it. Of course, we weren`t warned before purchase that breathing on the glass would crack it, and, in fact, we paid an extra 25%, waited three additional days with a boarded up shop, on their recommendation, to have the glass laminated for strength in the first place. This refusal tactic was a very seedy and disgusting insult to my intelligence, but hey, it saved them the cost and trouble of replacing a window.
