I am posting up my 2013 Scion IQ for sale. It currently has 16,xxx miles on it and may go up slightly as I drive it daily. I bought it after a light rear end hit. It has the factory hatch on it with the VIN attached There was no paint work to the hatch, but it did crack the paint about an inch long. It is factory quarter panels and they have not had any paint work. The only items replaced were the rear bumper, bumper support, and right tail light due to a crack. The rest of the car is in excellent shape. The interior is like new, and I just had it professionally detailed. It is an extremely safe vehicle and has 11 airbags! It runs, drives, and the cvt trans. performs great. I have put 3000+ miles on it with 0 issues, and am averaging 37.6 mpg with it around town. There are no leaks or issues. There are not any warning lights on. The Pioneer stereo sounds great and the power windows operate correctly. The tires are in excellent shape. The only reason I am selling it is I need to upgrade to an XB to get in clients as passengers. It has been a blast to drive daily, and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. You may reach me at 402-320-989one with any questions at all. I will be adding more photos shortly.

Scion sketches SEMA spread starring Slayer, skateboarder
Sat, 20 Sep 2014I was in Nashville last weekend for a friend's bachelor party. It's all rather fuzzy, but I do recall that my friends and I found it hilarious to request Slayer every time one of the country groups on the Broadway strip asked for a specific song to be played. While there were a few good sports, most didn't find it too funny, largely because country music and Slayer don't mix all that well. Actually, Slayer and a lot of things don't mix too well. Like Slayer and Scion, Toyota's slowly withering youth brand.
This mish-mash hasn't prevented the Japanese budget brand from teaming with the metal group for a concept vehicle based on the tC coupe (shown above). If the Slayer link is a bit too extreme, Scion has a more mainstream xB, styled by skateboarder Riley Hawk on the way. Both new vehicles will be shown at the upcoming SEMA show, but Scion has opted to release a pair of sketches of both aftermarket creations ahead of the Las Vegas expo.
It's hard to tell what kind of exterior changes have been made to the tC, although Scion says the cabin now boasts a 32-inch monitor, as well as a heavily revamped stereo. As you can see, it will say "Slayer" on the door, in the band's stylized script.
Scion FR-S SCCA World Challenge racecar, ready for the track
Thu, 01 Nov 2012Of all the many Scion FR-S models here on the SEMA floor in Las Vegas - and there are a great many of them, have no doubt - the very purpose-built car from Stout Racing is one that we may hear about again in the future.
The Stout Racing team will be campaigning the racy FR-S in the SCCA World Challenge series in the upcoming season, and is currently building some buzz on the Scion SEMA show stand. The car makes use of a supercharger that was jointly developed by Stout and TRD, as well as a front splitter, doors and rear wing - all by Vertex.
Driver Robert Stout will run the FR-S in the GTS class next year, with a debut slated for the Streets of St. Petersburg event, scheduled to go off in March of 2013.
Toyota GT86 convertible could debut in March
Tue, 27 Nov 2012The dates are lining up, now we wait to see how the badges align. Just before the Toyota GT 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ line-up was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, there was a report that Subaru was considering a convertible while Toyota wouldn't even comment on it. That got swapped around when earlier this year the chief engineer on Toyota's side said a convertible was coming, and then a Scion FR-S droptop was confirmed for early 2014.
Autocar now reports that the Toyota GT 86 convertible will make its first appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. In a car whose specs like weight, packaging, horsepower and center of gravity were all tightly controlled to get the most from the least, the changes necessitated by chopping the roof could make this a very different car. It's said to employ a fabric roof to keep a "small" weight gain check, and the suspension will be softened to work more harmoniously with the decreased body stiffness. And somewhere in all that the back seat and trunk space will need to take a hit.
In other news, Autocar says the hi-po GT 86 with some kind of capacitor system instead of batteries is being worked on for 2015.
