For Auction is my 1995 Saab 9000 Aero
I am the third owner of this car and have enjoyed driving it for the past 50,000 miles. I have taken good care of the car and it has been very reliable transportation that is also fun to drive. It has a huge trunk space with the hatchback design and is a very functional vehicle that has lots of power and handles like a tight sports car. In 1995 this was the most powerful saab built and generates about 250 hp. I am reluctantly selling this car due to a lack of space in my driveway and I want to buy a pickup truck as I have recently purchased a newer sedan and just don't need two sedans. There are not many of these out there for sale that are in this condition and when you clean and detail the car it still looks pretty great as you can see in the photos. Heat and AC work, climate control unit is working as it should. (AC will need to be charged). Interior is in very good condition, no rips or tears in the seats. Carpeting is showing some wear in the drivers foot well but no holes and the car has always had floor mats so the carpet is in very good condition. The Harmon Cardon sound system works as it should and has a working CD player. This car cost $40,000 in 1995 and was the top of the line Saab there were only 200 imported with an automatic transmission that year so it is an unusual vehicle on the road, people are amazed at the condition of the car when I tell them how old it is. I would drive this car anywhere as it sits right now, if you have any questions or want to see more photos let me know and I will give you a link to access.
Here are the some of the newer parts that have been installed on the car:
Ignition Cassette, alternator, water pump, 4 new rotors, brake pads, belt tension-er, radiator, thermostat, all heater and radiator hoses, new head gasket, bulb control relay, head lights, front bumper, new exhaust system from the catalytic converter back to the exhaust tip.
This is not a new car and there are a few things that need some attention:
The fenders are just starting showing some rust bubbles, there is a small dent on the drivers fender, and some other nicks chips and dings, but all small stuff. The passenger rear door will not lock and the auto locks don't work on all of the doors. The drivers window works but doesn't go down all the way. (last2") There is a crack in the dash board that is a bummer, but could be replaced with a used one or an after market part for around $100.
Great car for a Saab enthusiast or summer kid car as well. I have sold several cars on Ebay and have very good feed back, if you want more information about the car let me know and I will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding,
I accept paypal, a $500 deposit (non refundable) is paid at the end of the auction and all payment is expected in full within 72 hours of the end of auction. If you want to have the car shipped to you all arrangements will be made by the buyer and I will work with you and your transporter to make for a smooth transfer of the vehicle.

Boeing, Saab take first flight in T-X trainer 36 months after starting development
Wed, Dec 21 2016This post is appearing on Autoblog Military, Autoblog's sub-site dedicated to the vehicles, aircraft and ships of the world's armed forces. Bringing a new fighter from drawing board to its first flight is generally a lengthy endeavor, taking years of planning and tweaking and engineering. Or, at least it normally does. Boeing and Saab just took their new joint-developed training fighter, the T-X, out for its first spin just 36 months after starting development. According to Saab's deputy program manager for the T-X, Eddy De la Motte, that's half the time it usually takes to get a new jet in the sky. "We went from [critical design review] to first flight in 12 months. We don't do that very much at the Boeing Company," Boeing's program manager for the T-X, Ted Torgerson told Defense News. "I don't want to say it has not been done, but for a manned aircraft to go through a complete production-ready design, that is as fast and as efficient as we've ever been through it." Boeing/Saab's first test flight was a simple, 55-minute matter for Boeing test pilots Steven Schmidt and Dan Draeger. The pair took the plane up to 10,000 feet and hit speeds of 231 knots (265 miles per hour) while running handling checks on the twin-tail, single-engine jet. "I've been a part of this team since the beginning, and it was really exciting to be the first to train and fly," pilot Schmidt said. "The aircraft met all expectations. It's well designed and offers superior handling characteristics. The cockpit is intuitive, spacious and adjustable, so everything is within easy reach." "It was a smooth flight and a successful test mission," Draeger, who rode shotgun in the instructor's seat said in an official release. "I had a great all-around view throughout the flight from the instructor's seat, which is critical during training." Boeing/Saab's T-X is one of four jets competing for the role as the US military's next training aircraft. Northrop Grumman is fielding a clean-sheet design that allegedly flew earlier this year, while Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are modifying existing designs with partners – the South Korean KAI T-50 for Lockheed and the Leonardo M-346 for Raytheon. Saab's Victor Muller wanted to nix Griffin, return to airplane emblem
Tue, 09 Oct 2012According to Just-Auto.com Victor Muller wasn't a fan of the Saab Griffin logo. The executive was quoted as saying he wanted to "abolish" the Griffin logo and return to the airplane emblem. Muller made it clear that if he'd had his way, the propeller would have replaced the Griffin across the Saab lineup long ago.
National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the company that recently bought Saab, was forced to abandon the Griffin logo due to the fact that the emblem is still used by truck manufacturer Scania. The manufacturer is reportedly concerned about potential Chinese counterfeiting - NEVS is owned by Youngman, a Chinese automaker - though it's unclear how that relationship would lead to illegal copies.
Either way, NEVS has said the loss of the Griffin logo isn't that important to the company so long as it can continue to build on the Saab name. Muller, meanwhile, said he wishes NEVS luck in the company's electric-vehicle endeavor, but that he doesn't understand its new business model.
Victor Muller to pay Sweden back taxes for Saab work
Thu, 03 Oct 2013Victor Muller, Saab's CEO from 2010 to 2011, has been ordered by the Swedish court to pay the back taxes he owes the country for his work at Saab, Autoweek and Volkskrant report. When he was the automaker's CEO he received a salary of about 8 million Swedish Krona ($1.25 million), which was recorded as a reward for consultancy work for a company in the US that Muller owns. The move allowed him to evade taxes for awhile, but the court has ordered him to pay taxes on his full salary.
Muller, who is also CEO of Spyker, and two other Saab executives were accused of accounting fraud in May, which took place in 2010 and 2011. According to reports, Muller maintains that he is not subject to taxes in Sweden.
