We understand that buying a vehicle online can sometimes leave you un-easy. We are aware that there are other dealers online that do not fully describe the vehicles listed. They might leave important information out, or not have a thorough description of that item.
Our goal is simple. We aim to be honest and fair with all of our deals. Word of mouth and return business is something we take very serious! We achieve this by providing you with all of the information YOU need to make a comfortable decision, and hopefully proceeding to your investment, a vehicle! We strive for A+ satisfaction. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, and definitely don’t want to mislead you. This is why we inform you of EVERYTHING we know, and provide you with detailed descriptions and conditions of the item for sale. Business is expanding, explaining the new eBay account.
Up for NO RESERVE is a 2001 SAAB 9-5 wagon! IGNORE WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT SAAB, just do your own research or ask me anything, I will give you my honest opinion about everything. This German assembled, turbo'd gas saver will receive the best MPG! Why sacrifice room for passengers when you can get this safe, reliable wagon. SAAB has proven to be very safe, reliable and unbreakable. If you maintain this vehicle properly it will last you forever.
INTERIOR: THE REAR SEATS ARE HEATED! I would not have the color scheme any other way! The black interior looks and smells like it is still new. I have not seen any blemishes or stains and there are very light signs of wear. The windows work properly and the radio sounds great with speakers everywhere. On a cold wet day the heat works fast and hot. This seems to be a non-smoker. In my opinion this interior needs nothing. There are so many neat things this car can do. The car shows like it is a couple years old with half the millage. Every button/knob works as it should. Usually when I get a SAAB, its either perfect with nothing wrong, or its beat up and needs a lot of work or reconditioning. This one is in excellent shape! Nothing needs to be attended to or serviced. The owners of these types of cars are usually very meticulous about their cars, and this is one!
EXTERIOR: The body is in great shape also. There are a very few, very light scratches or scuffs shown close up in the pictures; this is nothing that needs to be attended to and it will not rust anytime. The tires are in good shape also. The rear hatch works great and lifts with ease. The doors shut nice and latch quietly.
MOTOR/HANDLING: The beautiful 9-5 starts right up and idles great with no hesitation. The car goes right into gear with no thump and there is no hesitation with any transition between gears or reversing. The winter mode is perfect for the snow and ice, you can feel the torque and the car stays at low rpm's so you wont spin. The transition feels smooth and easy. The acceleration was responsive and peppy. In sport mode (just the push of a button) the gears shift very fast and the car takes off. The turbo picks up like a dream, and the boost gauge moves so fast. Within seconds you are at 60 mph. The gears feel so rapid when it downshifts. The brakes have balanced pressure and stop the car with ease with no wobbling. This wagon feels smooth and takes turns like a champ! This car hits the road very nice and likes to grip it hard. This car gives a welcoming impression and feels very safe. With low miles on it you know this car can reach 300k with routine maintenance and still go! There is plenty of room for you on this vehicle!
Basically this is a great car that is famous for safety (the first to earn the highest side impact rating) and reliability, because of that people sell these for a lot of money, and they know they will get it. This is a great second car for anyone, family or not. This wagon would also be a great first car for your young ones starting out (so you wont have to worry as much). Maybe you want better fuel economy, or more room? With this SAAB 9-5 wagon, you have everything you need, MPG, cargo room, passenger room, reliability, safety, and style. The millage is just right! All of this is just a bid away! If this is what you are looking for, be glad you are looking at this one because your search is now over. Don't second guess yourself, just get it!
I am accepting reasonable offers, feel free to message me! Thank you for looking. Happy bidding!

Saab still alive and well at New Jersey dealership

Mon, Dec 29 2014

We all know the Saab story: a niche automaker that just couldn't last in the quickening pace of an increasingly competitive industry, despite its loyal following. But just because the automaker has all but completely disappeared, it doesn't mean that the loyal following has as well. In fact Saab Automobiles Parts North America estimates there are some 450,000 Saabs still in use in the United States, and many of them are still die-hard brand faithful who are adamantly clinging to the bankrupt brand they love. And many of those loyal customers are still finding a home at Park Avenue Saab in Maywood, NJ. Although the Park Avenue Auto Group operates Acura, BMW and Lotus franchises, it hasn't given up on Saab just because the company isn't making any new cars anymore. Instead it's set up shop in an old Suzuki showroom and is building a growing list of Saab customers across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania – parts of that list acquired from other, closed Saab dealers in the region. The dealership stocks spare parts and is ready to perform whatever service and maintenance existing Saab owners might need, but it's also still buying and selling Saabs: used models with low mileage and manufactured as close as possible to the end of production in 2011. So when an owner of an old Saab is ready to trade up, the dealership has something to offer. And many of those loyal customers, according to Automotive News, are willing to pay top dollar rather than switch to another brand. If and when a Saab owner needs to buy something newer – as most will have to – the dealer is ready to introduce them to a new Acura or BMW, but to date, very few have. That's why Park Avenue Saab still sells about 40 used Saabs every month to customers in the vicinity, across the country or even overseas. Between the sales and service departments, the dealership is still turning a brisk business, but unless NEVS, Mahindra or some other knight in shining armor swoops in and manages to do what GM and Spyker couldn't, the dealership's management know the business can't last forever.

Junkyard Gem: 1989 Saab 9000 Turbo

Tue, Jul 24 2018

Saab got a lot of sales out of its 99 and 99-based 900 models, but a bigger and more modern car became necessary in order to compete with other European manufacturers in the executive-car market. This car was the 9000, and examples are getting very hard to find nowadays. Here's a 200,000-mile turbocharged 1989 Saab 9000 in a San Francisco Bay Area self-service wrecking yard. Other than Mercedes-Benzes and Volvo 240s, I don't see many junkyard 1980s European cars with better than 200,000 miles on the clock. The owner or owners of this Saab loved it enough to keep it in nice shape for a good 30 years, and it drove more than 7,000 miles on average during each year of its life. The engine is the same 160-horsepower turbocharged Saab H that went into the 1989 Saab 900 Turbo. This engine is descended from the Triumph Slant-4, which Americans knew best as the power under the hood of the Triumph TR-7. Members of this engine family remained in production from 1968 through 2009. It has the five-speed manual transmission, which was starting to become an unusual transmission choice for U.S. car buyers by 1989 — even in Saabs. The Scania badging on Saabs went away after 1995. I see plenty of Saab 900s during my junkyard wanderings, but 9000s aren't so easy to find in the big U-Wrench yards in 2018. I'm not sure what's going on with the fabric in this car's door-panel inserts. Saab went with the same ignition-switch location as everybody else with the 9000, rather than the "traditional" spot between the front seats. Naturally, Saab purists were so outraged by this that they ordered another round of surstromming and swore to stick with their two-stroke 96s for the next 30 years. Last Saab 9-3 built nets nearly $48,000 at auction

Thu, Nov 14 2019

It was among the last Saabs to roll off the production line in Trollhattan, Sweden, is virtually new, and now it has a new owner. The Saab 9-3 Aero Turbo4 we told you about a month ago has sold in an auction for the equivalent of $47,789. As with anything related to the remnants of the legendary Swedish automotive brand, the backstory on this one is a little complicated, starting with the model year. Saab originally ground production to a halt in 2011. This model came about after National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) acquired the brand out of bankruptcy, and was part of a run of 420 models built starting in late 2013 before NEVS lost the rights to use the Saab name and griffin logo. It was originally set aside for crash testing, but never actually used for that purpose, and mostly sat idle inside the plant, in case NEVS restarted production of combustion vehicles. The 41 miles on the odometer came from running the car on a test track near the Trollhattan plant for photography and video purposes. It features a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that makes 217 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It has a two-tone interior with cream leather seats and a dashboard and center console that looks like what you might expect to result from Saab's parts-sharing arrangement under the ownership of bankruptcy-era General Motors. Nowadays, NEVS has financial backing from Chinese investors and is making electric vehicles based on the 9-3 platform and body, just without any Saab badging. It continues to operate the Trollhattan plant and another in Tianjin, China, and it reportedly plans a new plant in Shanghai. NEVS also has partnered with Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg in a venture to develop new EVs. The 9-3 buyer’s name is Claus Spaangaard. HeÂ’s a Danish car collector and car-repair shop owner who says he already owns two Saab cars. Proceeds from the auction will fund research into sustainable mobility in Sweden, NEVS says.
