2003 Saab 9-3 Vector Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Lansdale, Pennsylvania, United States
|
Offered for sale is this beautiful 2003 Saab 9-3 Vector. The Vector was a one year only model that was the premium version of the mode line up. The car is packed full of features. Power windows, locks, cruise, 6 disc cd changer in the dash, MP3 jack with hands free phone function, steering wheel controls, auto up and down on all windows, one touch sunroof open, and the list goes on and on. This is the 5th 9-3 Vector I've had, and I'd say this is the nicest one. The only issue I've found with the car is that the passenger window doesn't go down. I will be including a new window regulator with motor included in the sale. I've been driving the car daily and can't say enough good things about it. I just had it in the shop for a safety check and the brakes, tire, fluids are all good. One of the most positive aspects of this car is the interior buttons. This seems to be an issue with the cars of this vintage, and this car looks the best I've seen. Other than one cigarette burn in the headliner, the interior is in very very good shape. The body has a couple small scratches and little dings but all in all this is a very clear car. Each of the wheels do have a little bit of curb wear. The car is sold on an OHIO title, AS IS NO WARRANTY The car is still being driven, so miles might be slighly higher at time of sale. Please feel free to contact with any questions!

Saab 9-3 production has restarted
Sun, 01 Dec 2013If you're one of the small cadre of Saab drivers, first of all, kudos to you. Because as Top Gear pointed out, Saab drivers are among the most intellectual drivers out there. Secondly, we've got good news for you, because the 9-3 has officially resumed production at the Trollhättan plant in Sweden.
For those of you who may not have followed the story, a quick refresher: Founded in 1947, Saab Automobile AB was an independent automaker until 1989 when General Motors began the decade-long process acquiring it. Unable to make it profitable, GM sold Saab to Spyker in 2010, but that Dutch automaker proved unable to make a go of it, either, and finally shut it down a year later. Much of Saab's assets were acquired by National Electric Vehicle Sweden, which in turn is partially owned by the Chinese city of Qingdao, which pledged to get production back online by the end of the year.
NEVS has apparently made good on its promise, bringing 600 workers back to the factory to resume production of the 9-3 much as it was when a workforce of 3,500 labored on it and its stablemates prior to the bankruptcy. The reborn 9-3 will be sold in Sweden and in China, with an electric version to bring some other updates sometime next year.
Autoblog sell-it-yourself highlight: 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon
Tue, Apr 25 2017Want to sell your car? We make it safe, easy and free. Quickly create listings with up to 6 photos. Reach - literally - millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. In a recent Autoblog sampling of 10 pre-owned choices at least 10 years old and selling for under $10K, an Autoblog editor gave a shout-out to Saab's 9-5. And who could blame him? Despite its departure from the US market and subsequent closure as an automaker, Saab's brand still resonates among a committed core of enthusiasts. The Saab 9-5, available in both sedan and wagon variants, was the upper model of a two-model lineup; the 9-3 sedan sat below it, while the GM-sourced 9-7 SUV didn't appear until 2005. Both the sedan and wagon 9-5 were surprisingly roomy, and the Aero variant, pictured here, incredibly fast. This for-sale example, located in North Carolina, is at 176,000 miles a well-used example in need of (at least) a repaint. But this is the perfect color combination, plus a combo of sport and utility. Buy it for around $2K, hold another $5,000 in reserve to cover the obvious needs, and you can enjoy a distinctive piece of practical and powerful transportation. Related Video:
Saab-powered Ford is the most unlikely drift car we've seen
Tue, Jan 19 2016Yes, you read that headline correctly. It's supposed to be a Saab-powered Ford, and not the other way around (although we fully support the notion of a Sonnet with a Flathead V8). Apparently, some lunatic in the UK took an ass-less 1953 Ford Anglia, paired it with a turbocharged Saab engine, and tuned the entire thing to go drifting. We like it. Called Urchfab, it's the subject of Carfection's (the blokes formerly known as XCar) latest video. Aside from looking like an extra from the British version of Mad Max, it has a problem with grip, in that there's just too much of it. This car is a fabber's dream, as we get to see its unnamed owner fashion new bits and bobs for the suspension before having an unfortunate encounter with a wall at Castle Combe. You can check out the full video up at the top of the page for a closer look at this monstrous Anglia. Related Video:
