Hi, I purchased this car knowing there was motor problems. It was such a nice looking car I couldn't pass it up. I actually bought it to fix and give it to my daughter to commute to school but she is changing schools and doesn't need it. I drove the car for about 100 miles and the motor gave up, one of the rods shot through the bottom of the engine. A big plus with this car is the 8th letter in the title is a "K" which means this car has a high pressure motor that gives you more hp than a regular 2.0 engine. For the miles that I drove it everything seemed fine. The tranny seemed to be shifting fine, brakes seemed good, no pulling in the front, tires seem like they are wearing normal in the front and no shaking on the highway. All the options work perfect and the time I spent in the car there was no problems with any of the buttons. Headlight wipers work, convertible top works with ease, ( I was really impressed how the top goes down) Also,in the trunk you have the option to tie up the the convertible storage box up when your not using it for more storage space. Tires are in fair shape and the spare tire looks like it was never used. It does have new mats that came with the car but they don't look like the original ones. Also, when I got it home and scraped off the dealer writing on the windshield I noticed a pebble ding on the windshield. I may have one to give you if you purchase the car, I have to pick it up in NY. The miles are pretty good for the year, there are some scratches, dings and dents on the passenger rear quarter panel, they could probably be banged out from the inside of the trunk. I hope I told you everything and I will post pictures of the known problems so there are no surprises. I am trying to explain everything honestly and the best of my ability. Please, if you have any questions feel free to ask. Also if you need to see a picture of something I could send you one. If you purchase this vehicle you are responsible to pick it up, have a towing service or If its not too, too far I can deliver it for a fee.....Thanks for looking!

Saab-powered Ford is the most unlikely drift car we've seen

Tue, Jan 19 2016

Yes, you read that headline correctly. It's supposed to be a Saab-powered Ford, and not the other way around (although we fully support the notion of a Sonnet with a Flathead V8). Apparently, some lunatic in the UK took an ass-less 1953 Ford Anglia, paired it with a turbocharged Saab engine, and tuned the entire thing to go drifting. We like it. Called Urchfab, it's the subject of Carfection's (the blokes formerly known as XCar) latest video. Aside from looking like an extra from the British version of Mad Max, it has a problem with grip, in that there's just too much of it. This car is a fabber's dream, as we get to see its unnamed owner fashion new bits and bobs for the suspension before having an unfortunate encounter with a wall at Castle Combe. You can check out the full video up at the top of the page for a closer look at this monstrous Anglia. Related Video:

Dealership refunds student for broken Saab with bags of pennies

Fri, Jul 25 2014

Every so often, we come across the story of someone trying to "stick it to the man" by paying a parking fine or speeding ticket in pennies or dimes. Never, though, have we heard of a business stooping to such cliched lengths. Enter Florida. Irena Mujakovic bought a 2003 Saab way back in January from Holiday Motors, in Jacksonville, FL. Shortly after the purchase, the transmission started acting up. She returned to the dealer and paid for the repair, and purchased a warranty for future issues. Total cost: $300. But then the trans crapped out not long after the initial repair, and Mujakovic was back at Holiday Motors. This is where things start going south. This second trip cost Mujakovic $400, with her warranty in hand. That's because the man that runs the dealer, Ed Di Miranda, neglected to mention that the warranty didn't cover labor costs. "The warranty did not cover labor and I failed to write that in and that was her loophole," Di Miranda told First Coast News. The young college student filed a complaint with the Florida DMV, who sided with her and ordered Holiday Motors to refund the money. Di Miranda and the dealership did just that, but when Mujakovic came to collect her refund, it was to a bag of pennies, with a few dollar bills sprinkled in for good measure. Di Miranda, doesn't seem to think he's done anything wrong, claiming that only about $85 was in change, while the rest was paper money. "I am doing what DMV asked me to do," Di Miranda said. "It is legal tender." Mujakovic has not collected her refund. Have a look below for the video news report. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Koenigsegg plans a ‘CO2 neutral’ hybrid supercar

Fri, Feb 1 2019

Fresh from receiving a 150 million-euro infusion from National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the Chinese-backed company that bought up Saab's assets out of bankruptcy, supercar maker Koenigsegg has signaled just what it plans to do under the new joint venture. Christian von Koenigsegg gave an interview to Top Gear in which he said he wants to develop an all-new supercar to sit below ultra-exclusive models like the Agera RS and Regera, priced at around ˆ1 million (about $1.15 million) to grow sales from 20 a year into the hundreds, because "our brand has outgrown our production volumes by quite a big margin." And it will feature a novel, "completely CO2 neutral" hybrid powrtrain using the "freevalve" camless combustion engine technology the company has been developing in concert with battery-electric power. "Given the freevalve technology, we can actually cold-start the car on pure alcohol, down to -30 degrees Celsius, so there's no need for any fossil fuel mix then," he told Top Gear. "The idea is to prove to the world that even a combustion engine can be completely CO2 neutral." Von Koenigsegg previously hinted at the setup after talking about how his engineers were responding to Tesla's claims that its forthcoming next-generation Roadster would be capable of a 1.9-second 0-60 mph time. He further hints that the new hybridized supercar will look unmistakably like a Keonigsegg but be in a different segment altogether from either the Agera RS or plug-in hybrid Regera. Consider us very much intrigued and eager to hear more. Meanwhile, Koenigsegg has said it plans to reveal the successor to the Agera RS next month at the Geneva Motor Show based on a refined version of the same supercharged V8 combustion engine. The new joint venture with NEVS, meanwhile, sees that company take a 65 percent ownership stake, with Koenigsegg holding the rest and contributing its trove of intellectual property, technology licenses and product design. NEVS also gets a 20 percent stake in Koenigsegg itself. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
