This is a 1997 Rolls Royce Silver Spur with low miles. Only has 13,289 miles on it. This was purchased for a customer who could not come up with the money so it is up for sale.

This Rolls Royce is a V8 Turbo, that runs strong and smooth. This car rides and shifts like a Rolls Royce should. Like driving on a cloud!

No leaks, good hydraulics, and good brakes.

This car has all the bells and whistles, and options.  It has the rear tv monitors  and front tv screen flip up monitor. It also has the picnic trays that fold down in the rear. It has the foot rests.   The driver window sometimes wants to hesitate a little but it will go back up.  The power seats work, and the heated seats work.  It has front and rear ac , ice cold.   It comes with a rebuilt wiper motor.  The tires are 80% tread.

The interior of this car is parchment color with black piping.  The interior is very clean and the leather is in great condition, no rips or tears but the driver seat does show some wear.  The clear coating on the wood grain on the door end caps is cracked but the wood is in good condition. Needs to be re-cleared in the front. The rear is good.

This car was involved at one time in a minor accident, the right side fender was hit deploying the passenger side air bag.  The dash was put back but the airbag was not. The damage to the front was professionally repaired to Rolls Royce specification. The previous owner did not want to spend $1400 for the airbag, so it was left out.

The paint is good on the car, there are a couple very small buff burns in paint. nothing too noticeable.

This is a $40,000 car.  Bid to win! No Reserve! Please NO DREAMERS!!! You must have your finances in order before bidding, as this auction is not a game.

If you are looking for the perfect rolls this is not for you! This Rolls Royce is very clean and has some minor discrepancies.  It is not an abused rolls it has been very well taken care of.  This is not a show room condition car but an excellent car for someone who will appreciate the Rolls for what it is and give it the VERY LITTLE TLC that is needs to make it perfect.

Sold as is, where it is.  Florida residents must pay sales tax, and tag title transfer.

Rolls-Royce Alpine Centenary Ghost makes its first North American appearance

Sun, 18 Aug 2013

Rolls-Royce choose this year's Shanghai Motor Show as the occasion to show off its achingly cool Alpine Trial Centenary Edition Ghost, but The Quail was the site of the car's North American coming out party.
The one-off Rolls pays tribute to a heroic moment in the marque's history, when four 1913 Silver Ghosts, three factory cars and one privateer entry, successfully completed the 1,820-mile Austrian Alpine Trials. The privateer racer in question, James Radley, is the gentleman responsible for the pretty color combination you see on this new Ghost. Radley's blue bodywork over black wheels looked great in 1913 and haven't lost any luster 100 years on to our eyes.
You can revisit the details about this historically rooted Rolls-Royce in the press release below, or simply take a stroll through our fresh gallery of images from The Quail.

Rolls-Royce teases Wraith debut in Geneva

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

Rolls-Royce is headed to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a new addition to its lineup: the Wraith. The ultra-luxury automaker says it plans to start deliveries by the fourth quarter of this year, though details are scarce at the moment. The automaker has contented itself with saying the Wraith will the "most dynamic, powerful and beautiful Rolls-Royce in the company's history." We hear it will be the most modest, too.
Rolls-Royce first began using the Wraith nameplate in 1938. The original car used a tweaked version of the 4.3-liter inline six-cylinder found in the company's 25/30, but its real claim to fame came from the fact that it boasted speed-variable hydraulic dampers. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 85 miles per hour, Rolls-Royce only built 492 examples of the vehicle's chassis.
You can look for the new Wraith to bow at the Geneva Motor Show in March. In the interim, check out the shockingly bare press release below and get ready for a spate of teasers to follow.

BMW bringing 9 Series concept to Beijing

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

It appears that BMW is ready to take another step upmarket with a new concept flagship luxury sedan at the Beijing Motor Show at the end of April. The showcar is said to preview the company's rumored 9 Series, a sedan that would be positioned against top trims of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, like the rumored S600 Maybach.
According to Automotive News Europe, the concept sedan wears styling language adapted from the curvaceous BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe (pictured above) shown at the 2013 Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance in May. It rides on BMW's new, modular platform - codenamed G11 - for the company's largest cars, an architecture also expected to be shared with the next 7 Series and future Rolls-Royce vehicles. It's rumored to bring the weight of the 7 closer to the 5 Series, which would be several hundred pounds lighter when comparing the base models of both current vehicles. We spotted the next-gen 7 Series testing over a year ago, and both it and the 9 Series are expected to go on sale in 2016.
Unfortunately, at the moment there is no official information about the concept. "We don't have any official news yet on anything in Beijing," Julian Arguelles, BMW USA spokesperson, tells Autoblog. However, it's heartening to think that BMW might be adapting the gorgeous shape of the Gran Lusso for production.
