I am offering the sale of my pristine ROLLS ROYCE Silver Dawn in Deep Metallic Blue. This is an outstanding vehicle and purely exhilarating to drive. Please review the following detailed information and feel free to ask any questions. I feel strongly about being very detailed when selling a vehicle.
1997 Rolls Royce: EXT: Deep Metallic Blue (rare color – Edmunds.com actually gives an increase in value for this color)
INT: Grey Sport Leather w/ Blue Piping. Multi Exotic Wood Trim Miles: ~33,791 mileage to date Title: Free and Clear - Perfect Features: Automatic transmission, Multi Exotic Wood trimmed interior, Grey sport leather interior w/ Blue piping, Heated seats, Wool interior roof, Alpine sound system with upgraded speakers (the sound system is outstanding), custom wool floor mats ( amazing & wonderful on the feet), etc... VIN: SCAZA11C6VCX59929 HISTORY:
A little about me - I am an adult car fanatic (NOT a dealer) that has owned many vehicles. My three-car heated garage is kept cleaner than a lot of homes I have been in. I am indeed fairly anal when it comes to my vehicles. I keep all records and related items to any car I own. This vehicle has absolutely NO paintwork, NO accident history (or evidence), and carries a clean title which is in my possession. Carfax, Service records, and so forth are all available. This Rolls was treated with top-notch service and any and all issues were addressed in the past by a local Greenwich, CT dealership.
My reasoning for selling is our family has grown and I cannot use the car as much as I would like. ENGINE: The smooth and linear power made by this amazing V8 is flawless. No smoke, no leaks of any type, no strange noises, no weird smells. BODY: The classic Deep Blue Metallic is in wonderful condition. There is NO previous body work, no accidents, no stories. The paint shines and emits great luster. No nasty scratches, etc. There are small oxidation spots by the rear door window, see photo. Vehicle has been stored in a heated garage, has never seen snow. She has been hand washed and waxed religiously. INTERIOR: The sport grey leather smells of rich leather. The leather has been conditioned regularly using Lexol. The leather is in excellent condition and does NOT display any excessive wear appearance. The interior is sport grey with blue piping with multi exotic wood trim. There are NO funky smells, no rips, no tears, no burns, no stains, no food articles, no pet hair, or other oddities in the interior. From a non-smoker home. Lastly, I NEVER use any shiny, greasy products on the interior to clean it, only low-luster (OEM) style cleaners or lotions TIRES/WHEELS:
The wheels are in great condition. All 4 tires have been replaced at 30,006 miles (less than 4K on them). BRAKES: Perform flawlessly without any grunts, grinds, squeals, or thunks. Emergency brake pulls to spec. TRANSMISSION: The transmission runs and shifts smoothly. No grunts, grinds, or sloppiness. The drivetrain is tight. CONCLUSION: This is an overall magnificent ROLLS ROYCE that I have thoroughly enjoyed. The vehicle is in outstanding condition and dressed in a not-so common color with rich interior appointments. The color combo is very rare and as far as I am concerned by far THE BEST COLOR both outside & inside! This amazing four-door sedan is close to the end of when ROLLS ROYCE was made by hand in England. The driving experience in this vehicle is bar-none, euphoric. It’s solid, powerful, tight, and in-tune with the road.

The UK votes for Brexit and it will impact automakers
Fri, Jun 24 2016It's the first morning after the United Kingdom voted for what's become known as Brexit – that is, to leave the European Union and its tariff-free internal market. Now begins a two-year process in which the UK will have to negotiate with the rest of the EU trading bloc, which is its largest export market, about many things. One of them may be tariffs, and that could severely impact any automaker that builds cars in the UK. This doesn't just mean companies that you think of as British, like Mini and Jaguar. Both of those automakers are owned by foreign companies, incidentally. Mini and Rolls-Royce are owned by BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover by Tata Motors of India, and Bentley by the VW Group. Many other automakers produce cars in the UK for sale within that country and also export to the EU. Tariffs could damage the profits of each of these companies, and perhaps cause them to shift manufacturing out of the UK, significantly damaging the country's resurgent manufacturing industry. Autonews Europe dug up some interesting numbers on that last point. Nissan, the country's second-largest auto producer, builds 475k or so cars in the UK but the vast majority are sent abroad. Toyota built 190k cars last year in Britain, of which 75 percent went to the EU and just 10 percent were sold in the country. Investors are skittish at the news. The value of the pound sterling has plummeted by 8 percent as of this writing, at one point yesterday reaching levels not seen since 1985. Shares at Tata Motors, which counts Jaguar and Land Rover as bright jewels in its portfolio, were off by nearly 12 percent according to Autonews Europe. So what happens next? No one's terribly sure, although the feeling seems to be that the jilted EU will impost tariffs of up to 10 percent on UK exports. It's likely that the UK will reciprocate, and thus it'll be more expensive to buy a European-made car in the UK. Both situations will likely negatively affect the country, as both production of new cars and sales to UK consumers will both fall. Evercore Automotive Research figures the combined damage will be roughly $9b in lost profits to automakers, and an as-of-yet unquantified impact on auto production jobs. Perhaps the EU's leaders in Brussels will be in a better mood in two years, and the process won't devolve into a trade war. In the immediate wake of the Brexit vote, though, the mood is grim, the EU leadership is angry, and investors are spooked.
2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Review | Three things I learned driving a $429,400 SUV
Fri, Jul 15 2022TROY, Mich. — Rolls-Royce is the epitome of the vehicle as a luxury good. It has features that are expensive and luxurious rather than functional, and they create an image that separates a Rolls-Royce from almost everything else, save perhaps Bentley. I recently spent a few days in the 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the brandÂ’s first and only SUV. ItÂ’s a legit people-hauler. Good luck getting your retriever and her food in the Ferrari Purosangue, but the Cullinan borders on a #vanlife operation. HereÂ’s three things I learned after driving in the opulent $429,400 Cullinan. Fear not, itÂ’s easy to drive The intimidation factor is not what I expected. The Cullinan is about as long as a Chevy Tahoe and four inches wider. It does not drive that way. The steering is light but direct and communicative. Factor in four-wheel steering, and itÂ’s like driving a much smaller car. The driverÂ’s seating position is excellent and provided a clear view of my surroundings. With the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament leading the way, it felt majestic. ThatÂ’s what Rolls is going for, but the setting also gave me confidence with both corners clearly visible. It doesnÂ’t matter how much a car costs if you feel like you know what youÂ’re doing. RollsÂ’ famous Magic Carpet Ride makes for perhaps the smoothest experience IÂ’ve had in any car or SUV. The suspension is always adjusting, and almost no bumps or potholes could bother me or my passengers. It really is next-level comfort. Given that the chassis is working with 22-inch wheels, itÂ’s all the more impressive. The V12 engine puts out 563 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. Get on the throttle and it will move, but with decorum. Yes, thereÂ’s an aura IÂ’ve driven plenty of luxury cars that donÂ’t live up to the hype. The Cullinan is not one of them. My Rolls had the Shooting Star headliner, a $7,975 option that turns your vehicle into a rolling planetarium. ItÂ’s one of those features that sounds contrived until you experience it. The celestial sky is mesmerizing, and when your passengers see the shooting-star feature, get ready for the oohs and ahhs. Rolls first launched the headliner in 2006 as a custom option, but now itÂ’s on most of its vehicles. The stars are illuminated by fiber-optic cables and six powerful light cannons, according to Rolls-Royce, and thereÂ’s up to 1,600 hand-cut holes in the headliner. You can personalize the constellations.
Rolls-Royce gets Inspired by Film with latest Wraith special [w/video]
Wed, Apr 1 2015"You like me, you really like me!" If Rolls-Royce could tune its exhaust note to speak those words, (in Sally Field's voice, no less) we get the feeling it would. But since it can't it has done what it does best: launch a special edition. In this case, it's called the "Inspired by Film" edition, and it's based on the Wraith. Its creation was inspired by And the World Stood Still, a rather dramatic promotional video that accompanied the Wraith's launch two years ago. The film, which you can view below if you missed it the first time around, involved 100 DSLR cameras, 36 computers and nearly a mile of cabling, orchestrated in Barcelona to capture the spirit of the Rolls-Royce fastback. It was decorated with a Gold Award by the International Visual Communications Association and was recently admitted to the National Archive of the British Film Institute. So to mark the occasion, Rolls is rolling in to the New York Auto Show with this special edition. Taking the Silver Screen theme quite literally, it's decked out with two-tone silver paint, a solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and grey leather with ebony and aluminum trim. The special edition will be available to order right after its debut in Manhattan, and of course comes with the 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 churning out 624 horsepower to make the Wraith the fastest, most powerful production model in the company's history. ROLLS-ROYCE WRAITH 'INSPIRED BY FILM' DEBUTS AS LAUNCH FILM IS ACCEPTED INTO BFI NATIONAL ARCHIVE 31 March 2015, Goodwood The groundbreaking Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Wraith launch film, 'And the World Stood Still', has been accepted into the BFI (British Film Institute) National Archive, the world's most significant collection of film and TV. To celebrate the event, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has created Wraith 'Inspired by Film', which will debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show tomorrow, 1 April 2015. The film, which won a Gold Award at the 26th International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) Awards, caught the attention of the BFI's Senior Curator for Non-Fiction Films, Patrick Russell, who considered it a striking piece of contemporary cinematography and so decided to accept it into the archive. "We are delighted to see Rolls-Royce's Wraith launch film enter the BFI's collection," commented Russell.
