Upper Marlboro, Maryland, United States
1993 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR III 56,402 Miles THE SEARCH IS OVER..........THE SEARCH IS OVER !!! Now on Ebay for your driving pleasure is this 1993 money green ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR III luxury sedan in the DC/MD area. I have too many cars and this mechanical masterpiece, sadly enough, has to go. It is a second owner and has been well-maintained over the years. This Double R (RR) is one of the 1600 that were made by Rolls Royce in '93, so get ready to own a timeless classic. She has been sitting since last year, so a good cleaning will be needed. She starts, runs and drives as it should and is accident-free. There are some cosmectic flaws that will need attention, but there are NO dents, rust, oxidation in the paint etc. Also could use a set of tires due to sitting in the garage since last year. The Connoly leather interior has no rips, tears or scuffs and is still soft and supple. Leather WILL need restoration, however, to bring out its richness. Burl wood trim inlays are in excellent condition and are still very clear and bright with no cracks or discoloration. The V8 engine is vault-like and will last a lifetime. Lastly, this Silver Spur has lots of other little "goodies" such as rear power seats, picnic tables, metal (not plastic) AC vents, heated 7 memory seats, hand-made grill and many other options. All serious parties can e-mail me @: 1ibentmywheel@gmail.com or text me at Two Zero Two, Seven One Seven-Three Three Eight Five for purchase. All RR enthusiasts know the value of these cars, so hagglers, low-ballers, dreamers and those who are looking for "The Hook-Up" please look elsewhere. I can get about $27-32k for this car, but, again, it will need some TLC to be 100% mint. Overall, she is about a 7.5 out of 10 AS-IS. I will entertain all sensible offers, but please do not be insulting. Thank you for looking. NOW ASKING $$ 15,900 !!!!! |

Rolls-Royce's future models will be electric-only starting in 2030
Mon, Feb 13 2023Rolls-Royce's first series-produced electric car, the Spectre unveiled in 2022, won't be its last. The BMW-owned company announced that every new car it launches after 2030 will be electric-only, though it stressed that there's still space in its range for V12-powered models. "All future Rolls-Royces, new ones, will be only electric while maintaining what Rolls-Royce stands for," company boss Torsten Muller-Otvos told British magazine Car. He added that this thinking explains the Spectre's overall design. "That's why we also decided to go with classical Rolls-Royce proportions. It needs to look like a Rolls-Royce: monolithic, great stature, it carries proudly the pantheon grille. It drives like a Rolls-Royce, it accelerates like a Rolls-Royce, it wafts like a Rolls-Royce ... it has all of the same materials — while being electric," he said. That doesn't mean that Rolls-Royce's design department is stuck in a rut. The modular platform that underpins the Spectre (pictured) will serve as the foundation for other EVs, and Muller-Otvos told Car and he's open to experimenting with "very different technologies" and "different shapes," though he stopped short of providing specific details. "[Electric technology fits perfectly with the brand," he opined. Rolls-Royce expects the Spectre will be able to drive for up to 260 miles on a charge. That's not much, but the company explained driving range isn't a big concern for its customers. They mostly use their cars in urban centers and they're able to charge at home and at work. If you're saving up for a V12-powered Rolls-Royce, it's not too late. "I still foresee a very good business for us in future for Cullinans, for Ghosts," noted Muller-Otvos in the same interview.
Rolls-Royce developing new convertible
Wed, 06 Aug 2014Rolls-Royce is not a company that makes a lot of different vehicles, but of the ones it does, it tends to offer several versions. That's how we end up with sedan, long-wheelbase, coupe and (in the former's case) convertible versions of the Phantom and Ghost. And now Goodwood has confirmed development of another model.
Although details in the press release below are few and far between, it does promise to "deliver effortless, open-top touring... with an engaging and exhilarating driving experience." CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös added: "We are currently developing an exciting and thoroughly contemporary interpretation of a pinnacle drophead tourer which will introduce even more discerning men and women to Rolls-Royce ownership."
What that tells us is that the new model - set to reach showrooms "by mid-2016" - will be a convertible that's exciting to drive and more youthful than the Phantom Drophead Coupe. In other words, and in all likelihood, we're looking at the convertible version of the Ghost-based Wraith fastback (like the one we recently spotted undergoing testing, pictured above). Expect it, then, to carry the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12, but with the added rush of wind in your hair.
Rolls-Royce readying Wraith convertible
Thu, 08 May 2014For seven years, Rolls-Royce got by on the Phantom line alone, expanding on the original saloon with a long-wheelbase version, a coupe and the convertible. But now that the Ghost is part of the family, Goodwood seems to be following a similar expansion.
What started with the Ghost sedan has since been joined by the extended-wheelbase model and the Wraith fastback coupe. And now we're receiving spy shots of a Wraith-based convertible undergoing testing.
Potentially to be called the Wraith Drophead Coupe like its larger Phantom-based counterpart, the cabrio is likely to borrow much from the Wraith fastback - including its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 624 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque - but with a folding cloth roof mechanism to let the wind and engine note in, although the prototype pictured here is wearing a makeshift hardtop.
