1989 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur.
Here is a nice Rolls that can be enjoyed. It runs and drives well, brakes well, has recently passed smog. The power seats/windows/mirrors/horn/courtesy lights and door locks work. All the gauges and dials work, and the warning/status-lights panel works correctly. The heating and air-conditioning also work. The original interior including the leather has held up very well, wood is overall very good...there is some laquer peeling on the drivers door and some light cracks in other areas (a common issue on all of these cars). It has it's original owner handbooks, there are a couple of dealer service stamps in it at around 25k miles, the car has a clean Carfax report with some dealer service notes at around 50k miles, otherwise we do not have any service history. However, I have had the pleasure of putting around 500 miles on the car over the last couple of months (mix of freeway and in-town driving) and would feel confident using the car regularly. The tires have around 80% tread left. The vinyl top/glass and trim is in good condition. The paint does not look original.....6-10ft quality. There is a parking lot ding on one door (see pics), otherwise just some small nicks/scratches from normal wear. The paint on the trunk does have some bird dropping stains and looks to have been buffed to try and get them out...so the paint is a little flat. However, the color of the car masks most of the imperfections. Having owned over a dozen Rolls/Bentleys over the years and being exposed to their strengths and weaknesses, I feel confident that this car will give good service to the next owner. **NOTE** - Due to multiple problems with non-paying zero/-ve feedback ebayers, we will only accept bids from zero or excessive -ve feedback ebayers after they have contacted us first. Otherwise, such bids will not be accepted. If you have any questions other than "what's the reserve/buy it now price", you are welcome to contact us through ebay or call my cell #559-801-8623. I will be available 10am-5pm Pacific/California time. The vehicle is sold as-is and as equipped. However, you are welcome to come see and/or have the car inspected before the end of the sale. Payment is due in full within seven days of the end of the auction. All California buyers and in-state sales/delivery are subject to sales tax, doc./smog/lic. fees. The mileage on this vehicle is assumed to be accurate; however, all vehicles over ten years old are sold as miles 'exempt'. All transportation costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. |

Is your brain predisposed to make you love Rolls-Royce?
Wed, 19 Jun 2013XCAR has taken a look at what could very well be one of the most quintessential British cars ever built: the 1973 Rolls-Royce Corniche. The question at hand is whether or not expensive luxury items like artisan foods, designer clothing and yes, high-end automobiles are worth their monetary cost. Do they bring some undefined additional value to the table over their low-buck counterparts, or are they simply an excellent way to part a fool from his dollar bills? While the video below can't comment on four-course meals or $400 jeans, our valiant host does have a word or two on the joy a Rolls-Royce can bring to your life.
That's even true of a model like the '73 Corniche. Built during one of the darker days of the company's history, the convertible was designed and manufactured by an automaker on the verge of collapse. Still, it manages to hold on to that essential spirit of luxury so crucial to the Rolls-Royce brand. Check out the video below to see what we mean.
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection is a real land yacht
Mon, 18 Aug 2014There aren't very many better places to show the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Waterspeed Collection than at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Not only is this aquatic-themed land yacht parked on the Concept Car Lawn appropriately very near the Pacific Ocean, it's being seen by some of the most wealthy car enthusiasts in the world on one afternoon.
The car actually debuted in May in Europe, but Rolls-Royce decided to show it again to West Coast customers. This luxury droptop is dedicated to former British waterspeed record-holder Sir Malcolm Campbell, hence the name. Campbell used a boat powered by a Rolls-Royce R engine to reach 126.33 miles per hour in 1937 on a lake in Italy and break the old milestone. Later, he took the same craft to 129.5 mph to further establish his dominance.
The Phantom Waterspeed takes inspiration from these accomplishments with a two-tone look that mixes shining Maggiore Blue exterior paint and a brushed steel tonneau cover to replace the normal teak. The blue color scheme even extends to the engine and interior trim in combination with contrasting Windchill Grey leather. Rolls isn't building many of these marine-inspired leviathans; check one out on the lawn at Pebble Beach in our gallery.
Third Rolls-Royce Wraith teaser looks inward
Wed, 20 Feb 2013After shadowy images of the 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith in profile and of the car's rump, the slow striptease of this hyper-luxury coupe finally starts to show us what the inside of the car will look like. We'll get our up-close look at the 2014 Wraith at the Geneva Motor Show on March 5th, but to tide us over until then, Rolls-Royce has provided a pair of images showing just some of the details that will be present inside.
Promising the interior of an "ultra-luxury yacht," the Wraith will get plenty of soft leather and real wood paneling, and as we suspected, this car will share a lot of interior bits with its sedan counterpart, the Rolls-Royce Ghost. We can somewhat see this from the second image provided showing the placement of the clock and the air vents that look almost identical to what can be seen currently on the Ghost. On the Wraith, though, the clock's hands feature "Blood Orange" tips, which not only contrast the high-gloss, piano black finish of this instrument panel but also is designed to pay homage to the aviation side of Rolls-Royce.
