Graham Brownlow is unresponsive, and refuses any responsibility in this apparent fraud.

It brings me no pleasure in posting this message, The Rolls Royce in the photo above was purchased by myself from a seller here on Ebay,  the seller being rollsbentleyimports.   The car was represented to be in excellent original condition with only 55,000 miles and having only had one prior owner. I had also spoke to Graham on the telephone and he maintained that this car was as advertised. The ad also stated that the Shadow had been maintained and just had been serviced.  I was impressed with the excellent seller feedback remarks left on rollsbentleyimports seller pageand I made the mistake of not having the car inspected as I am nearly 2000 miles away from the seller.Little did I know what a mistake this would turn out to be...   Having a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II had been a life long dream in my family, until I did business with Graham Brownlow.

Here are just some of the issues not disclosed by  Graham Brownlow of rollsbentleyimports.

  1) Car took over three weeks to arrive after payment of over 23k was sent.
  2) Car was in such a state of disrepair, wouldn't drive off of truck.
  3) Serious leaks of all systems.
  4) Towed Shadow to highly qualified RR tech for full inspection, at great $$$.
  5) RR shop claims $13,460.53 needed just for car to be road legal in CA state!
  6) Second independent RR Tech in Los Angeles gives quote of $28,000.00  least amount needed for car to be in decent cosmetic and driving condition, and only decent condition at that.
 7) Emissions equipment absent entirely, all cats, egr, etc  unacceptable!
  8) Completely worn out front and rear suspension components, as well as badly rusted.
  9) Entire brake system needing complete rebuild, very dangerous!!!
  10) Transmission fluid burnt, shifts are harsh and transmission may require replacement.

11)Paint bubbles everywhere, prior bodywork improperly performed.
     12) Extensive rust throughout undercarriage, very dangerous because of location of some of the rust near and around suspension components.
     13) Power seats frozen into place at the rear most position, unable to even sit properly in car.
     14) Dangerous fuel line leaks from front and rear.
     15) Thin leather dye repair job which has broken when touched?
     16) Mold in rear carpet area.
     17) Accumulator and all spheres in need of replacement.
     18) Banks A and B of Carbs need to be rebuilt.
     19) Rear diff worn out, whines at speed.
     20) Front windscreen badly pitted.
     21) Door locks not working.
     22) Dizzying exhaust leak into interior, very dangerous!!!!
     23) Tired engine, unacceptable levels of blow by and uneven compression across all cylinders.
     24) Tire side walls cracked, hubcaps badly dented and scratched.
     25) Radiator clogged, Tech said engine mechanical condition is evidence of overheating prior to having received car.

Ebay buyer protection didn't help me because of the age of this vehicle. I should have done my homework.

Buyers flipping a Rolls-Royce Spectre won't be tolerated, company says

Mon, Jul 10 2023

The act of flipping cars — that is, buying a limited or highly desirable model and then reselling it for big profit — wonÂ’t go unnoticed, or be tolerated, by Rolls-Royce. Specifically referring to the new Rolls Spectre — the first electric car from the brand — Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos told Car Dealer that any customer who sells or try to sell one will be blacklisted for life if he attempts to buy another from a dealer. Speaking at the launch of the new car in California, he said: ‘I can tell you we are really sanitizing the need to prove who you are, what you want to do with the car – you need to qualify for a car and then you might get a slot for an order.” But those who violate the policy and resell the vehicle at a higher price are “going immediately on a blacklist and this is it – you will never ever have the chance to acquire again.Â’ The super-luxe Spectre is to open its order books soon with deliveries to start in the autumn. Base price in the UK is about $425,000. The response from some dealers in Britain, who say the inflated price resales are legal, was resentment at Rolls. London dealer Tom Hartle, known for selling secondhand Rolls-Royce models, said that he has already agreed to collect GBP50,000 ($65,000) premiums for two Spectres. He said he will have a Spectre for sale at his used-car dealership "within two weeks of it being launched.” ”I do not think it is fair for carmakers to tell customers who have spent close to half a million pounds on a car what they can do with it,” he told Car Dealer. Last year, General Motors said it would ban flippers "from placing future sold orders or reservations if the vehicle is resold within the first 12 months of ownership." Those high-demand products were the Corvette Z06, the Cadillac Escalade-V, and the GMC Hummer EV. And years ago, Ford famously sued wrestler and actor John Cena, who flipped a Ford GT in violation of his purchase contract. This content is hosted by a third party. "To do this, “ Muller-Otvos said, “we have conceived the most demanding testing program in Rolls-RoyceÂ’s history. We will cover 2.5 million kilometers – a simulation of more than 400 years of use for a Rolls-Royce, on average – and we will travel to all four corners of the world to push this new motor car to the limit,"

2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost gets high-tech suspension, AWD, rear-wheel steering

Sun, Aug 16 2020

The first-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost started life as a BMW 7 Series, and in 10 years on sale became the best-selling model the brand has known. That sedan ended production last year, leading Rolls-Royce to begin the process of introducing us to the second-generation Ghost. Having abundant feedback from customers about what they'd like in the new model, and, more importantly, having listened to the feedback, Rolls-Royce realized it would need to start from scratch. Engineers modified the aluminum-intensive Architecture of Luxury that supports the Phantom and Cullinan to fit the Ghost's needs, in standard and Extended Wheelbase spec. Instead of the predecessor's rear-wheel drive, the coming Ghost will get standard all-wheel drive. And taking another page from the big brother Cullinan, the entry-level offering will come with rear-wheel steering, too. Going beyond the other two models in the brand's lineup, the Ghost will be the first to fit what Rolls-Royce calls its Planar suspension that brings together three technologies. The first is an upper wishbone damper unit that's been three years in development, placed above the front suspension. The automaker didn't go into details, but the damper unit is said to provide an improvement on the brand's "hallmark magic carpet ride and dynamic abilities." The Flagbearer camera system monitors the road surface ahead to prepare the suspension, a technology offered on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class for a few years now. The third Planar trick is a satellite-aided transmission, wherein the ZF eight-speed automatic "draws GPS data to pre-select optimum gear for upcoming corners," a technology already in use on the Phantom. The bodywork won't stray far from what we know; designers wrapped Spirit of Ecstasy opulence into a discrete package. Inside, the gauge cluster will go digital inside three fixed instrument bezels, next to a widescreen infotainment display, and driver assistance features could include everything from night-vision to some advanced self-driving capability. Under the hood, we expect the same 6.75-liter V12 utilized by the Phantom and Cullinan, with something like 560 horsepower. The global situation pushed the Ghost's launch back, we're told. Deliveries should begin early next year, with a debut sometime between now and then. The first-gen ran $314,400 in standard length, $348,400 in EWB guise.

Check out Rolls-Royce's totally awesome AWD mule

Tue, Apr 7 2015

No, this isn't just a super badass Phantom. The car you see here – codenamed Project Cullinan – is an early development mule for the new all-wheel-drive suspension system that will eventually be found in Rolls-Royce's upcoming SUV. It's made up of a shortened Phantom body, looks totally murdered out, and has a huge freaking wing on the back. We love it. Of course, Rolls-Royce properly poo-poos any similarities between this mule and the eventual production model. "The body may hint at the size of the new car, but it features no design aspects of the eventual high-sided, all-terrain motor car announced by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in February this year," the company said in a press release. The end goal of this mule is to create "a final all-wheel-drive system that delivers Rolls-Royce's hallmark 'magic-carpet' ride not only on the road, but off-road too." Screw the SUV. We'll take one as-is. PROJECT CULLINAN BEGINS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AS ENGINEERING MULE APPEARS IN PUBLIC In its open letter on 18 February this year, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars gave an undertaking to inform stakeholders of the progress of Project Cullinan. Keeping this promise, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has today published photographs depicting the first key milestone in the vehicle's development programme. The photographs are of the first engineering mule, which will be seen on public roads this week. This early engineering mule, based on a shortened Phantom Series II body, has been created purely to begin the development of an all-wheel drive suspension system that will deliver a ride that will be Effortless ... Everywhere. The body may hint at the size of the new car, but it features no design aspects of the eventual high-sided, all-terrain motor car announced by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in February this year. The mule rides on the first iteration of an all-new suspension that will assist Rolls-Royce engineers in developing a final all-wheel drive system that delivers Rolls-Royce's hallmark "magic-carpet" ride not only on the road, but off-road too. The first series of tests will focus on Project Cullinan's on-road behaviour from suspension throw to high-bodied stability, and will test the new suspension across all types of international road surface specification at test facilities, as well as on public roads. Test surfaces will include; Belgian Pave, cobblestones, corrugated concrete, noise development and measurement surfaces, resonance road, and acceleration bumps.
