2011 Ram 3500 Laramie Mega Cab Longbed 4wd Sunroof 6.7l Cummins Diesel Deleted on 2040-cars
Athens, Ohio, United States
Hello! You are bidding on a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab that has been professionally streched to a long bed. The frame strech has been done by Hodges Custom Haulers in Ky - The bed is a new take off from a 2011 Dodge ram that was factory painted. Since it was factory painted - this truck is as good as from the factory - no worries about taking it to a car wash and blowing the paint off! Also with being a new take off - very little has been in the bed of the truck. This truck is very well loaded including: Sunroof, Heated Seats, Cooled Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Moveable Pedals, Sliding Power Rear Window, Back-up Cam, Parking Sensors, Nav, And Xm radio. This truck has had the emissions deleted off the truck. THIS WILL NOT PASS AN EMISSIONS INSPECTION!! If you are interested in having the factory DPFs re-installed - I have a friend who is willing to TRADE for the XRT Pro and block off plates for his factory equipment. This truck has been fully deleted to include the EGR Cooler. The intake horn has also been replaced with an aftermarket horn to increase performance (I believe its a WCC Intake horn). Lastly - a Banks Cold Air Intake has been added. This truck did have a new motor installed by Dodge at 96,000 under warranty. It had scortched a #5 piston. This truck also had a transmission replaced in the last 2,000 miles with a used trans with low miles on it. This truck is now mechanically sound and has no driveline issues. The dent pictured is on the driver side rear door - I caught a gooseneck trailer hitch - other scratch is on the driver side fender. If you are interested in coming out and looking at the truck - you are more than welcome to! If you have any questions - please call or text me at (740) 331-2582. The truck is sold AS-IS WHERE IS! You are bidding on this truck to purchase - NOT for the right to come look at it. It is HIGHLY recommended to set up and appointment to come out and check the truck out before bidding. If you are the winner at the end of the auction - it is your truck. I require a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit via paypal within 48 hrs of the auction closing. I WILL LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK IF THIS IS CONDTION IS NOT MET! There is a bank loan on this truck - so the title will be mailed to you from Ally Bank unless you finance the truck through them - I am new to this process and will work with you on getting it taken care of. I do still own a trucking company - so shipping is available. I haul a lot out of Texas and Florida - so it is very easy for me to arrange drop off anywhere in between. Please call or text ahead for shipping qoutes. If you have any questions at all - PLEASE call me or text me before you bid. Once the auction is over - it is yours! Please understand that this truck has the EMISSIONS EQUIPMENT removed - If the truck is taken to a state where emissions testing is required - it WILL NOT PASS! I have put 146,000 miles on this truck and have never ran into an issue - not saying its right - but it is what it is.... Thanks for taking the time to read this - once again - if there is anything you would like to know - PLEASE call or text me at (740) 331-2582. Thanks! Jason |

The Chrysler brand could be axed under Stellantis management
Sun, Jan 3 2021MILAN — While running NissanÂ’s North American operations from 2009 to 2011, Carlos Tavares had a reputation for closely watching costs with little tolerance for vehicles or ventures that didnÂ’t make money. Experts say that means Tavares, currently the head of PSA Group, is likely to follow that blueprint when he becomes leader of a merged PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The low-performing Chrysler brand might get the axe as could slow-selling cars, SUVs or trucks that lack potential. Already the companies are talking about consolidating vehicle platforms — the underpinnings and powertrains — to save billions in engineering and manufacturing costs. That could mean job losses in Italy, Germany and Michigan as PSA Peugeot technology is integrated into North American and Italian vehicles. “You canÂ’t be cost efficient if you keep the entire scale of both companies,” said Karl Brauer, executive analyst for the iSeeCars.com auto website. “WeÂ’ve seen this show before, and weÂ’re going to see it again where they economize these platforms across continents, across multiple markets.” Shareholders of both companies are to meet Monday to vote on the merger to form the worldÂ’s fourth-largest automaker, to be called Stellantis. The deal received EU regulatory approval just before Christmas. Tavares, who for years has wanted to sell PSA vehicles in the U.S., wonÂ’t take full control of the merged companies until the end of January at the earliest. He likely will target Europe for consolidation first, because thatÂ’s where Fiat vehicles overlap extensively with PSAÂ’s, said IHS Markit Principal Auto Analyst Stephanie Brinley. Europe has been a money-loser for FCA, and factories in Italy are operating way below capacity — a concern for unions, given FiatÂ’s role as the largest private sector employer in the country. “We are at a crossroads,Â’Â’ said Michele De Palma of the FIOM CGIL metalworkersÂ’ union. “Either there is a relaunch, or there is a slow agonizing closure of industry, in particular the auto industry, in Italy.” ItalyÂ’s hopes lie with the luxury Maserati and sporty Alfa Romeo brands, but De Palma said investments are needed to bring hybrid and electric technology up to speed. FiatÂ’s Italian capacity stands at 1.5 million vehicles, but only a few hundred thousand are being produced each year. Most factories were on rolling short-term layoffs due to lack of demand, even before the pandemic.
Chrysler recalling nearly 141k vehicles over electrical woes
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Software glitches that randomly illuminate warning lights and cause instrument cluster blackouts are forcing Chrysler to recall 140,800 vehicles, The Detroit News reports. The automaker is recalling 132,000 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 91,559 of which are in the US. In addition to the Jeep recalls, Chrysler is adding 10,800 2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks to the list for similar problems.
Chrysler reportedly says, "Both events occurred infrequently and appeared to resolve themselves by tuning the vehicle's ignition off and then on."
Engineers discovered a problem with the anti-lock-braking system software that causes the instrument cluster display of the Grand Cherokee to illuminate warning lights and black out - even its ABS and electronic stability control systems are affected. To fix the Jeeps, Chrysler will update the vehicle's software.
Dodge, Jeep and Ram could soon be owned by Chinese automakers
Mon, Aug 14 2017For the past several years, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has made it widely known that the automaker he helms is up for grabs. First, he sent an email to GM CEO Mary Barra, who immediately refused to even discuss a merger. Later, Marchionne set his sights on Volkswagen. That too was swiftly rebuffed. It seemed like no global automaker was remotely interested in a partnership. Now, Automotive News reports that several Chinese automakers have come calling, only FCA isn't ready to answer. At least not yet. The news broke this morning that a major Chinese automaker had made an offer to purchase FCA for slightly above market value. FCA refused, saying the offer wasn't quite generous enough. It's unclear which automaker made the offer, but Automotive News says there's more than one interested party. FCA representatives have recently traveled to China to meet with Great Wall Motors, while Chinese representatives were seen at FCA corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Chinese government has a lot of money invested in local automakers. It's putting pressure on these automakers to expand globally, including to the United States. As it stands, it's a matter of when a Chinese automaker will start selling cars here, not if. Purchasing an established automaker with a wide range of products and a huge dealer network would do wonders in giving the Chinese a foothold here. Sure, Geely owns Volvo, but a luxury automaker doesn't have nearly as much reach as a more mainstream company like FCA. This seems like the best case scenario for both a Chinese automaker looking to move into the U.S. and for FCA, at least from a business standpoint. The latter doesn't seem to have any other interested parties. It will be interesting to see how FCA would sell a deal like this to the public. We're not sure everyone will be happy with Dodge, Jeep and Ram falling under Chinese ownership. FCA didn't turn down the Chinese because they didn't like the idea. It turned down the offer because there wasn't enough money on the table. Related Video: News Source: Automotive News Earnings/Financials Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep RAM
