Perfect winter drivers car. Very good appearance, truck has a presence. 21" wheels, awesome engine and a very comfortable ride. Height adjustable - Air ride self leveling suspension-comfort, normal, or sport mode. Great brakes, stops like a sports car. Very reliable, truck has never broken. I am not aware of any accidents or repairs other then normal maintanence. I have owned it since 2011 at approx 42,000 miles, I have really enjoyed driving her, still handles and brakes like the day I bought it. Very tight car.
I have replaced brakes & rotors, all fluids & filters(including coolant & brake fluid), oil & filter changes every 6-8k miles instead of 10k like Porsche recommends, Mobile 1 only 0w-40. Also needed a new fuel cap. I just replaced the cardan shaft - needed on almost all of these trucks - $1200 Porsche part and a new set of brake pads during last service. As with any car that is driven often and has 86K miles, there are some paint defects, mostly small scratches or chips where clear bra was not applied. Easily fixable minor defect in rear bumper where a trailer poked it scraped paint and removed the rear beauty plate. Small cut in front bumper valence. Sat Radio & CD & Aftermarket Ipod connection Porsche Crest in front head rests Alcantera head liner Moon roof w sun shade Front/Side/Rear impact warning system Review Camera Auto windshield wipers 21" wheels 18" wheels with thinner snow tires Lockable differentials Never got stuck in all the snow & ice last winter. Needs nothing except a new owner. I'm downsizing and just purchased a new Mecan. Lots of other options - Painted wheel crests Factory Towing PKG Auto Lift gate auto unlock w key in pocket? don't know what they called that. Heated mirror Heated seats All Books & Manuals 2 Keys No stories, no warning lights, just a nice, well maintained, used Porsche - mileage will change as I'm still driving her. Available for local inspection or test drive during this auction, also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. |

Russian President Putin's new limo makes debut ahead of 2017 production
Tue, Apr 5 2016What's the best way to ignore an international money-laundering scandal that's allegedly revealed your link to $2 billion in off-shore accounts? Why yes, you get a new car. While information from the so-called Panama Papers is still being uncovered, Russian President Vladimir Putin's new Russian-made ride has been unveiled. Unlike US President Barack Obama's Cadillac-badged Beast, Putin's Kortezh will be available to any Russian that has the means. A total of 5,000 will be built in four different styles – limo, sedan, SUV, and minivan – although only 200 will roll off production lines next year, Sputnik News reports. Deliveries are expected to start in late 2017, while assembly will carry on through 2020, the Moscow Times reports. Commerce and Industry Minister Denis Mantrurov confirmed that Porsche has been brought in to help develop the Kortezh's powertrain. Whether that engine ends up being the turbocharged V12 we reported on way back in October 2014 isn't clear, though. Regardless of what's sitting under that long hood, we're betting it's going to be extremely powerful. Putin will likely take delivery of the Kortezh in 2017. Related Video:
Porsche announces Cayman GT4 with 911 GT3 components
Wed, Feb 4 2015For years, there's been a debate among Porsche fans about which of its products is a better sports car, the 911 or the Cayman. It would only take a few sentences before those in the Cayman corner said that Porsche wouldn't make the Cayman as good as it could be for fear of overshadowing The Number One Son. We have a feeling these conversations are going to get a lot livelier with the introduction of the Cayman GT4, which pilfers lightly from the 911 Carrera S and heavily from the 911 GT3. On the outside, you can look to its front fascia, wheels, and fixed rear wing, and 30-millimmeter lower ride height for GT3 inspirations. Underneath, there's a 385-horsepower, 3.8-liter flat-six engine amidships, credited as being derived from the Carrera S. While there are those out there still lamenting the fact that the GT3 can only be had with a dual-clutch transmission, the Cayman GT4 "transmits its power solely through a six-speed manual transmission with dynamic gearbox mounts." Yeah. So take that. The extra power reduces the Cayman GT4's 0-to-60 mile per hour sprint to 4.2 seconds, a half second quicker than the 340-hp Cayman GTS, and bumps top speed up to 183 mph. An interesting nugget: Porsche says the Cayman GT4 runs the Nurburgring in seven minutes and 40 seconds, which it credits as the same time run by the 2011 911 GT3. Porsche has never offered a precise time for the current 911 GT3, saying only that it's "under 7:30," and Internet rumor (grab your salt lick) is that the not-yet-introduced GT3 RS has done a 7:20. We don't have all of its details yet – those will come closer to its introduction at the Geneva Motor Show next month – but we're told of a lot more 911 GT3 parts underneath, like the chassis that "consists almost entirely of components from the 911 GT3" and that all of its "technical aspects are based on the 911 GT3." If you want to take it further, the options sheet will include ceramic brakes and carbon fiber bucket seats. This new top-shelf Cayman gets to dealerships in the US in July with a starting price of $84,600 before a $995 destination charge. You'll find a few more bits of info in the press release below. A New Member of Porsche's GT Family The benchmark in its class: the Porsche Cayman GT4 Atlanta, Feb. 3, 2015 - Porsche's GT family is proud to announce the addition of an exciting new member: the Cayman GT4. This is the first Porsche GT sports car based on the Cayman and features components of the 911 GT3.
Jack Olsen built one Porsche to do it all
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Jack Olsen has built himself a lair called the 12-Gauge Garage, and inside that garage he built a lairy Porsche 911 nicknamed Black Beauty II. Although it looks like one of Stuttgart's models from the sixties or seventies, it is actually four decades of 911 gubbins from 1965 to 2000 thrown under one shell: the lightweight body is from 1972, the transaxle from 1977, the brakes from a 1986 Turbo, the engine from 1995, for example. It weighs 2,400 pounds and it's got 272 horsepower to get it going, but it's still a pure Porsche, Olsen saying, "If you stop thinking about what you're doing, it will remind you in very abrupt ways."
Olsen said the real point has been to have one car that does it all, so he does everything in his 911 from neighborhood runs to 7-11 to track racing - he loads the aero bits in the car and bolts them on trackside. And he says he'll never stop tweaking the suspension.
You can watch and hear the rest in Olsen's words in the video below.
