I am selling my 1997 Porsche Boxster convertible. This car is in beautiful shape, and has only 68K+ miles on it. (May be more, as it is still being driven) I bought this car with an "R" title, after the car was repaired. The previous owner had hit a deer, and the damage was enough for the insurance company to write the car off. (You know how much it costs to repair Porsches) However, all the car needed was a right front fender, headlight, and radiator, which was repaired professionally, and you cannot tell that the car was ever damaged. Everything works 100%, and the car rides absolutely fantastic!! The transmission is auto / tiptronic, which is pretty cool too! I put in a new Alpine Bluetooth/MP3/CD stereo, and the car also has a factory installed radar detector in it, which is a rare option to have. (It works Very well too!!) :) The only reason I'm selling this car, is to make room in my garage. I didn't plan on needing another family car, but I had to buy another car, which will take the Porsche's place in the garage. KBB for this car is $12,000 in "good" condition, so I think my asking price is well within saying that it is an awesome deal!!! $10,000 OBO !! Xcar has put together a lengthy interview with Dickinson, covering the source of his fascination with the 911 and his passion for automotive design, before falling into his rock-and-roll days with his band Catherine Wheel. Porsche 918 Spyder debuts with new N"urburgring lap record [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013It's been a long time in the making, but Porsche has finally revealed the final production version of its long-awaited 918 Spyder here at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And yet that's not even the big news surrounding the hybrid hypercar.
No, the big news is that, while Porsche was preparing taking the wraps off the car here in Frankfurt, elsewhere in Germany a team was setting a blistering lap time at the Nürburgring. And not just any blistering lap time, but a new world record.
Porsche claims that, on the morning of September 4, a team of three drivers (including former rally champ Walter Röhrl and Porsche test drivers Timo Kluck and Marc Lieb) broke the Nordschleife lap record, Lieb finally setting the best time at 6:57 at an average of 111 miles per hour.
