THE HISTORY

The Porsche Boxster S Roadster has only 55,854 miles on it... that's practically brand new !!! The VIN is WP0CB298X5U732082. It was assembled in Germany and imported into the USA in June of 2005. It was sold Brand New by Porsche of Melbourne in Melbourne Florida on August 4th of 2005 with just 40 miles on the odometer. It was sold on a 36 month lease to an owner who lived in Melbourne Florida. This vehicle has been kept normally serviced at the Porsche dealership. In August of 2008, this Boxster S Roadster was lease end turned in at Porsche of Melbourne with just 16,166 miles on the odometer. Porsche of Melbourne saw how beautiful this Boxster S Roadster was and with such low mileage that they decided to purchase it from Porsche Financial Services and put the vehicle into their service department for the Porsche Approved Certified PreOwned Inspection. They completed a full maintenance, a four wheel alignment, installed four new tires, performed an oil service, and gave this beautiful Boxster S Roadster the CPO Warranty. They put it out for retail sale and on November 8th of 2008 with just 16,445 miles on the odometer, this Boxster S began it's life with it's new second owner. This second owner alos lived in Melbourne Florida and kept the vehicle serviced at Porsche of Melbourne. THE CONDITION

The overall exterior condition of the vehicle is very good. The vehicle looks absolutly great for its age and mileage although some very minor surface scuffs/scratches and some minor stone chips are evident here and there. The paint is deep and glossy. The interior shows very little wear. The leather looks very clean and is free of any tears. The carpeting is plush and clean. The dash and door panels are in great shape. Some of the rims have some minor curb rash. The tires on this Porsche are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A P235/35ZR19's and P265/35ZR19's with approx 75% of the tread life left. I have two master keys, the owners manuals with case, the certified preowned booklet, the wind deflector storage sack, the navigation disc with holder, and the floormats.

Porsche will sacrifice profit growth to fund EV development

Porsche is so serious about developing electrified vehicles that it's willing to sacrifice big jumps in profits to fund the investment. After a massive upgrade to the Zuffenhausen plant, the company will build the Mission E EV (above) there in 2020. "Therefore it's clear that we can no longer carry out major leaps on results," the CEO Oliver Blume said about the automaker's financial growth, according to Reuters. Porsche will invest 1.1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) through 2020 to make additional electrified vehicles possible. Around 700 million euros ($765 million) will go into the Zuffenhausen factory to build a new paint shop, assembly plant, and upgrade the engine factory to produce electric motors for hybrids and EVs. The expansion will also bring all Cayman and Boxster assembly under one roof. Outside of Zuffenhausen, the money will improve the research and development center in Weissach and update the sales and marketing department in Ludwigsburg. Blume said Porsche has "many new products in the pipeline," according to Reuters, and he wants as many of those as possible available with some level of electrification. In addition to the Mission E, there are rumors the company might build a 911 plug-in hybrid as soon as 2018. While Blume doesn't forecast big jumps in profits, Porsche should still remain financially successful in the coming years. The automaker doesn't report its 2015 earnings until March 11, but Reuters reports the company's global deliveries topped 200,000 vehicles for the first time ever last year, which could push its operating profit well above 2014's 2.72 billion euros ($3 billion at current rates). The Rolls-Royce Phantom leads this month's list of discounts

Every month, we take a look at vehicle sales data in America to pick out the vehicles with the largest monetary discount. Usually, the list is dominated by high-performance two-door luxury sports cars. This month is different. Much to our surprise, the 2020 Rolls-Royce Phantom stands above all others with an average discount of $18,588 off the price quoted on its window sticker. Now, it bears mentioning that an $18,000-plus discount still only represents 3.46% of its $537,500 average retail price, and that the resulting $518,912 cost to drive off the showroom floor still makes the Phantom an extremely expensive range-topping luxury sedan. Still, even very wealthy people won't snicker at that kind of savings. Up next is another unlikely newcomer to the biggest-discount chart: the 2020 Porsche Taycan. The electric super sedan's average sticker price of $152,250 is cut to $135,707 after a discount of $16,453 is lopped off. That represents a savings of nearly 11%. We can't say how many of the Taycan's buyers over the last month will be able to claim tax rebates due to the Taycan's status as an electric vehicle, but that could potentially represent a further cut off the car's sticker. Rounding out the top three is the 2020 Maserati Quattroporte. Buyers of this Italian luxury sedan are saving an average of $13,839 for an average transaction price of $87,646. We normally only share the top three, but this month's list is interesting enough that we'll share some more. In fourth and fifth place are the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (with an average $13,239 discount) and the 2021 BMW 7 Series (with an average $12,435 discount) followed by the 2020 Rolls-Royce Wraith — interestingly enough also with a savings of 3.46% Â— and the 2020 Maserati Levante and Ghibli. Leno steals Porsche 918 from The Quail for latest Garage episode

Just because he's a famous celebrity doesn't mean Jay Leno got to take it easy at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this month. Having already spent some time with the gorgeous Cadillac Elmiraj Concept and Ed Welburn for a recent episode of Jay Leno's Garage, the late night talk show host also got to put a few miles on a prototype version of the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Like a usual episode of JLG, Leno first goes over the details of the car with Frank Walliser, head of the 918 Spyder's development, before taking it out for spin.
