1999 Porsche Boxster 117103 Miles, 5spd manual, removable hardtop. About The Car: This is a 1999 Porsche Boxster blue with brown interior with blue convertible top and removable hardtop. Car has 117103 miles and runs well. Does NOT smoke or leak. There are NO warning lights on. Everything works. Power windows, door locks, cruise, keyless entry, rear window defrost in the hardtop, and traction control which is pretty uncommon in this year Boxster. The car has a salvage Oregon title from a damaged front bumper that has since been repaired and repainted. The repainted front bumper matches well to the rest of the car. There was no frame damage or any other damage to the car. Even the foam piece under the bumper survived in tact. Can be driven anywhere and will be a reliable nice car for someone. The Good: New Brakes all around with functional brake wear sensors. 18" Boxster S rims in very good condition with almost NO marks, curb rash, ect. $1500 removable hardtop with built in rear window defrost. Strong clutch, feels good. No warning lights turned on Cold A/C Both front and rear trunk lids have good struts that hold them open as they should (typical problem on these cars that they won't stay open) Complete with owners manual, original spare, jack, tools, locking lug nuts with key. Power everything including traction control, which helps in the snow or rain. Functional keyless entry with one key. Flaws: The passenger seat is torn and doesn't look very good. The drivers door has 3 small 2" or less dents (see pic). There is also two reverse dime sized dings in the rear trunk lid and one in the front trunk lid from someone placing something in the trunk. (see pic) There is also a small scratch on the hood and hardtop (see pics). Otherwise the body is very straight and the paint in good shape. The back light on the digital speedometer is out which makes is not very bright (see pic). The rear plastic window in the convertible top is cracked. I do have a used black top with good rear window that I would be willing to get installed for and additional $200. The rear tires will need to be replaced soon. The fronts are in great shape. Terms: This car is sold in Colorado as is where is with no warrantee expressed or implied. Car is sold through a Utah dealer and residents of the State of Utah will have to pay sales tax. All others will not. I will gladly help do what I can to help ship the car. I need a $500 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of the close of the auction, with the remainder due in one week unless other arrangements are made. Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race
Thu, Mar 17 2016We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:
1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS takes center stage with Petrolicious
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Today, one of the most exciting track toys available is the Porsche 911 GT3. Its forbearer, though, was an altogether different beast that was every bit as exciting. Yes, we're talking about the old 911 Carrera RS that blessed the early 1970s. With a mere 1,580 cars built, meant specifically to satisfy the FIA's homologation requirements, the RS is one rare pre-Malaise era cars.
Complete with a 2.7-liter flat-six engine, this RS of Mark Haddawy is one of the earlier examples of the breed (later cars received a larger, 3.0-liter engine). Still, it can scamper to 60 miles per hour in a very respectable 5.6 seconds and will happily hit 150 mph in a straight line. Sporting Porsche's iconic duckbill rear spoiler, the equally iconic Fuchs wheels, as well as slew of options, as Haddawy points out, each of the nearly 1,600 RS models is its own unique iteration on the Porsche performance formula.
Take a look below for the latest video from the crew at Petrolicious.
These were our favorite cars of 2022
Tue, Dec 20 2022Favorite cars is different than best cars. The idea of "best" can speak to value and overall competitiveness in a given vehicle segment. There's lots of objectivity involved and to do a "best" list right, one really must be very thorough and as scientific as possible. This is not that list. This is about our favorites, so objectivity be damned. If we liked a Challenger Hellcat because it made loud noises or a Honda Odyssey because it made for a particularly special family vacation, fair game. These were the cars that most spoke to our collection of editors and the ones that stayed in our minds and hung in our hearts long after they left our driveway. — Senior Editor James Riswick 2022 GMC Hummer EV Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: I didn't particularly expect to like the new Hummer. I wasn't a fan of the Hummer H2 or H3, so I wasn't automatically enthusiastic about this electric reboot. Fast EVs aren't hard to come by — and, in fact, may be too easy to come by — so its performance specs weren't enough to win me over. Despite videos to the contrary, pickups aren't my favorite vehicular format. And its excessive size and weight turned me off ... until I finally got behind the wheel. This thing is wildly entertaining to drive. Watts to Freedom launch control is a neat party trick, sure, but the novelty wears off quickly. The novelty of Crab Walk, however, has staying power. The rear-wheel steering makes this behemoth feel much smaller than it is — the maneuverability is incredible, and useful. The air suspension provides tons of clearance, including a ridiculously high-riding Extract mode. I can't wait for lesser versions of the Hummer to make their way to market. Give me less power (for less money), but keep the off-road tricks onboard, and I'll be a happy camper. Senior Editor, Consumer, Jeremy Korzeniewski: If I could afford to put one of these in my driveway, I would. Sadly, I can't, so I won't (What's that, Janet? I got the lyric wrong?). Still, I love the dumb thing. Thankfully, I have another choice down below. 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Associate Editor Byron Hurd: Yeah, duh, Porsches are good. But there's good, and then there's GT3. This is the feeling every performance-oriented RWD tuner is trying to replicate. This is hard, precise, surgical and immensely satisfying. To begin to explore this car on a public road is by itself an admission that you believe yourself to be above the rules as they apply to normal drivers.
