Cayman S - Speed Yellow, Sport Chrono Pkg, Sport Pkg 6-speed, 19" Turbo Wheels on 2040-cars
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
I purchased 2007 Porsche Cayman S in mint-condition in April 2013 from the Mercedes Benz of Pompano but am forced to sell due to a job relocation and the need now for an SUV.
The paint is in excellent condition, save for some minor, contained road rash on the front bumper. The powertrain (transmission, drivetrain, etc.) runs smoothly and without a single issue, known or otherwise. The interior is pristine with no tears in the leather or cracks in the dash. There are but two small dents on the rear, right quarter panel just above the wheel well - none are present along the clean lines of the sides; and, the Tire Pressure Control System (TPCS) sensors are in need of battery replacement, as verified by the dealership service representatives. So far, these are the only "defects" that came with the vehicle when inspected and purchased. (The headliner was beginning to sag, but the dealership had it replaced before it was driven off the lot.) The standard Porsche User Manual is, of course, in the compartment; but, do note that I received only one key to the car. While in my ownership, the audio system (Sound Package Plus) has further degraded, and the spring in the spring-loaded hinge that retracts the pilot door handle has slipped - i.e. rendering a loose handle. The car has always been meticulously cared for (in accordance with the full Carfax provided at the time of sale), has never been tracked or over-revved/red-lined, and is completely stock. Since nothing has ever been done to it, as far as factory-installed options are concerned, this Cayman S boasts the Sport Chrono Package w/o PCM, Sport Package 6-Speed plus PASM, Sound Package Plus (terrible, by any measure), and 19" Turbo Wheels. A quick internet look-up will describe these options. The car's exterior is Speed Yellow, as are the factory-painted calipers, and the interior is the Stone Grey Leather. New Michelin P Zero tires were installed by the dealership before purchase, so there is considerable tread left. Though I've had it routinely washed and monitored, this Cayman was my only car as reflected by the posted mileage. For better or for worse, the miles I put on it came from a combination of highway and city driving, which in itself has its merits - trivial road rash despite the association paint pitting has with highway driving, the normal strain of the stop-and-go traffic but without that posed by routine highway "leadfootedness." I must sell a/s/a/p. Queries will be answered at my earliest convenience, and the purchaser will have to arrange for pick-up/delivery. I am a respected, trustworthy professional, and I'll do my sincerest best to make this transaction as swiftly and painless as possible. Keep in mind that my bank provides a window of 7-10 days for the payment to be processed, paid-in-full letter issued, and the title to be made transferable. Feel free to reach me via "Ask seller a question" or call/text 954-655-7254, should you have any questions or wish to schedule a viewing. (I'll admit, I'm able to respond much more freely/quickly through e-mail; regardless, you will in no instance be in the dark.) Thank you very much for your interest. |

Veneno Roadster, One:1, One-77, LaFerrari, P1, Veyron headline 25-car Bonham's auction
Mon, Jun 24 2019Bonhams is holding a no-reserve auction in fall 2019 that includes some of the most valuable and sought-after supercars of the past decade. The lot of 25 beautiful collector items includes a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, a Koenigsegg One:1, an Aston Martin One-77, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1, and a Bugatti Veyron. The collection, which was seized from a corrupt politician from Equatorial Guinea, is valued at roughly $13 million. If selling off future classics that are still in their infancy as collector items seems strange, it's because this is not a straightforward situation. These cars will be sold off by the State of Geneva, not a person. The collection was previously owned by the vice president of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang, but the cars were seized when he was placed under investigation for money laundering and unfair management of public interests. These 25 cars, which were located in Geneva, were first sequestered in fall 2016. A trial court ordered them sold off, and the money earned from the sales would be invested in social programs that benefit Equatorial Guinea. And so, Equatorial Guinea is about to see an influx of cash, as every vehicle is valued in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. The rarest might be the Koenigsegg One:1. One of only six remaining, it has 371 miles on the dial, and is valued at roughly $1.8 million. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of nine in the world, is a close second. It has 202 miles logged, and is valued at about $5.1 million. The Aston Martin One-77 is another rare bird. It is example No. 35 of 77, holds a 7.3-liter V12 engine, and is valued at about $1.4 million. A McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Bugatti Veyron 16.4 round out the top of the list. The remaining cars are not fully detailed, but they include examples from Mercedes-Maybach, Bentley, Maserati and Porsche. The auction will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Bonmont Golf & Country Club near Lake Geneva. For more photos and information, visit Bonhams.
Seinfeld takes Seth Meyers out in the perfect Porsche
Sat, 13 Jul 2013The latest episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee features Seth Meyers of Saturday Night Live fame riding shotgun in what is a very special Porsche from host Jerry Seinfeld's collection: a 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7. Seinfeld chose the "no-nonsense" sports car because he thought it fit his guest's personality (Meyers thinks motorcycles "are like the cigarette of transportation"), but we enjoy the chance to see one of these rare, über-valuable Porsches being driven on city streets - and in the rain, no less! What we don't like seeing is the Carrera RS being parallel parked behind a pick-up truck, though, fortunately, it seems that Seinfeld was able to avoid any front-end damage to the comparatively fragile Porsche.
Once at the coffee shop, the two comedians have a candid conversation about Meyers' time with SNL, from his early days on the show when he didn't think he was good enough to be a cast member to some of the high points in his career, such as SNL's "Really!?" segment that he performed in and how he became a writer for the show.
After coffee, when they're back in the car and Seinfeld opens up the throttle of the lightweight RS 2.7, he manages to eke out a big grin from Meyers - or maybe it was a grimace at the thought of driving in the rain on old tires. Whatever the case, be sure to watch the video below (and stay tuned until the end for a surprise).
2021 L.A. Auto Show roundup | All the reveals, reviews, pictures
Thu, Nov 18 2021The L.A. Auto Show took place this week for the first time since the onset of the pandemic. It was a show packed with news and reveals, which hasn't really been the case with other shows we've seen this year, and Autoblog was on the floor covering every minute of it. Well, Riswick and Stocksdale were, anyway. The rest of us were sitting at home in our sweatpants, but hey, we'll take credit anyway. Let's get to it. Hyundai Seven Concept This is the Hyundai Seven Concept, and it’s meant to act as a preview for an incoming electric SUV for the Ioniq brand. It leans more toward the concept side of the spectrum than a production car, but expect the final SUV to take design cues from the Seven Concept. Kia Concept EV9 The Hyundai Seven counterpart isn't the only big, bold electric SUV at L.A. this year. Kia has its own take, and it's a modernized version of the traditional boxy utility vehicle called the Concept EV9. It also previews one of the next production electric cars for the brand, which should look right at home next to things like the Telluride. 2023 Kia Sportage HEV As promised, the 2023 Kia Sportage HEV has been revealed. The hybrid powertrain makes the compact SUV the most powerful version available, and it goes on sale next year. The engine is a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder paired with a 44-kW electric motor. Total output is 226 horsepower. The company didn't give a torque number, but it should basically be the same as the Sorento HEV that has the same basic powertrain: 258 pound-feet. Those numbers are a healthy step up from the 187 horsepower of the base 2.5-liter engine. 2022 Range Rover If you noticed how extra smooth and suave the new Range Rover looked during its recent reveal, Autoblog's James Riswick got a design tour that revealed some of the technological secrets to its success. "Less is more" is harder to achieve than it looks. Fisker Ocean Fisker has brought the new Ocean EV to the L.A. Auto Show, with a public preview at Manhattan Beach and a presence at the show itself. You can watch the public show reveal above, and see more shots from the show floor below. Fisker says the Ocean will start at $37,499 before incentives. That entry model would be the Sport trim with a single, 275-horsepower motor driving the front wheels and 250 miles of estimated range. It also has a 0-60 time of 6.9 seconds. 2023 Toyota bZ4X This is the 2023 Toyota bZ4X, due to hit U.S.
