Up for sale is my immaculately maintained 2014 Porsche Cayman S in stunning Platinum Silver with only 13,900 miles.
This car carries a fully transferrable PORSCHE CERTIFIED WARRANTY good through April 30,2019 for worry free
driving. There are only two ways to obtain a CPO Porsche; either through a Porsche dealer or through a private
party sale. Here’s your opportunity to purchase a CPO Porsche without the huge dealer markup. Porsche’s
legendary CPO program covers nearly everything with no deductible and provides free roadside assistance for the
term of the warranty.
Platinum Silver was only available on the Cayman for the 2014 model year and is among the rarer colors you will
find. Platinum Silver highlights the beautiful lines of the Cayman S and depending on the light will appear as a
steely silver in sunlight and changes to a more subdued champagne in lower light. It is arguably the best color
for the Cayman. Paired with a manual 6-speed transmission and black leather interior, this car is the perfect
blend of style, performance and driving enjoyment. And driving enjoyment doesn’t quite describe what this
mid-engine sports car delivers. It is perhaps the purest, most balanced and dynamic driving experience you can buy
without getting into six figure money. Though you probably already know that if you’re shopping Caymans!
Porsche offers a dizzying amount of options and what makes this car appealing is that is contains a perfect blend
of options without driving the price sky high. This Cayman S is equipped with the following factory options:
20” Carrera Classic Wheels
Sport Chrono Package
14-way Power Sport Seats with memory package
Premium Package
Porsche Communications Management w/ BT Audio & Satellite Radio
Infotainment Package with Navigation and Bose Surround Sound
Bi-Xenon Headlights with Porsche Dynamic Lighting System (PDLS)
Heated and Cooled Seats
Heated Steering Wheel
Park Assist – Front and Rear
Porsche Crest on Headrests
Wheel Center Caps with colored Porsche Crest
Power Folding Side Mirrors
Multi-function Steering Wheel
This car contains no aftermarket add-ons. It has been maturely and responsibly driven with no hard launches, no
track time, hand washed only, always garaged, no smoking/drinking/eating, no rips/tears/stains/smells. The wheels
are in perfect condition with no curb rash whatsoever. There are two very small stone chips on the front apron
which have been touched up – other than that, this car is absolutely mint.
Additional photos available upon request. The car is still driven occasionally, so actual mileage will vary.
Serious offers only please. Thanks for looking!!!

Porsche Cayman GT4 spotted at the N?rburgring
Tue, 13 May 2014It was just the other day that we first caught wind of Porsche's plans to build a GT4 version of the Cayman, and now we're already looking at spy shots of the vehicle in question undergoing testing at - where else? - the Nürburgring.
With more aggressive front-end aero, a GT3-style air vent ahead of the front hood, a large wing at the back, and spindly alloys packed with over-sized brakes at each corner, this Cayman is clearly more extreme than even the range-topping GTS. The rear diffuser and central exhaust tips look about the same as those you'd find at the back of the Cayman GTS, though.
What we can't see, of course, is what Porsche has slotted in under the rear glass, how it's upgraded the interior and how much weight it's stripped out of the thing to get it down to fighting weight, but you can bet it'll come with a substantial power bump and a stripped-out interior with racing buckets and little else to open the gap between it and the GTS... and close the gap to the 911 GT3 which it will join as the baby brother in Porsche's performance-focused lineup. Click above to view the double-batch of spy shots.
Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?
Mon, Feb 27 2017We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.
Xcar considers the Porsche 911 GT3's PDK
Fri, May 29 2015Porsche ruffled some feathers when it unveiled the latest 911 GT3 a couple of years ago with a dual-clutch transmission instead of an old-school manual. The rationale was (and remains) that the PDK makes the enthusiast's Elfen faster than it would be with a stick. The purists scoffed, but Zuffenhausen held firm – and even did the same with the even more hardcore GT3 RS. In its latest video, the boys at Xcar set out to find out if the GT3 with its fancy automated gearbox is as good as the previous model (or as good as the current model could be) with a manual – and took in some of the track toy's other trickery while they were at it. Check out the video above to find out what conclusion they reached.
