2001 Porsche Boxster S
- very nice car, not a standard Boxster which is completely different car, this is the Boxster S model, much more powerful, larger tires, handles completely different than the standard model. I owned a standard base Boxster and this car is much better.
- 78,000 highway miles
- runs exceptionally well, last two owners over 50, driven conservatively
- S model, very quick and powerful
- daily driver
- Tiptronic transmission with steering wheel shifters, drive it in the morning commute with it in auto mode. Drive it in the mountains in manual mode. The best of both worlds.
- 24 mpg during daily commute
- never any accidents a few minor stone chips and one very minor door ding
- Nitto tires with 75% tread left
- Ice cold air conditioning
- Small stone chip by front logo, small scratch on rear spoiler, scratch in clear coat on front trunk not into primer (can be removed with rubbing compound), small scuff by front right side of the spoiler
- Leather seats without wear, tears or rips. $600 custom made real sheepskin seat covers (much cooler in summer) installed the entire time I have owned the car
- Very nice power sailcloth convertible top
- Interior very nice, certainly does not look its age
- Custom made $250 coco floor mats
- California car from new, absolutely no rust anywhere, never in snow
- Porsche upgraded stereo with CD changer, cassette tape deck and FM radio. Factory upgraded rear speaker package with storage area.
- Highly optioned car includes power steering, power brakes, auto transmission, larger S brakes, special S aluminum wheels, power seats, power windows (need a little grease)
- You will enjoy this car as I have

Petrolicious finds a Porsche 356 that thrives on dirt roads
Thu, Oct 22 2015Matt Hummel is absolutely not the typical vintage Porsche owner. Instead, his mantra is simple: "Get it running!" In the latest video from Petrolicious, hop behind the wheel of a well-loved 1956 Porsche 356 for a blast over some rutted dirt and gravel roads with a fascinating owner. When he found it, Hummel's 356 had been sitting in a barn since the late '70s, and it looked extremely rough. Despite the beat condition, he eventually decided not to just let the coupe sit anymore and used some parts that he had to get it running again. Now, the Porsche with its flaking paint and ripped interior is Hummel's favorite companion for getting lost on rural roads. While Hummel's story is fascinating, Petrolicious does a superb job on the cinematography, too. This 356 lives in some picturesque surroundings, and the video captures that scenery beautifully.
SoCal car culture bids farewell to an LA motoring landmark
Thu, Apr 28 2016It had a good run, but after 84 years, LA's iconic 6th Street Bridge is being torn down and replaced with a new structure. Magnus Walker gathered members of Southern California's legendary car culture to say goodbye. The East 6th Street bridge is just one of the hundred-plus spans that cross the Los Angeles River, built during the boom era of the 1930s, but it's among the most iconic. It spans the river and the rail yards from the industrial area to the West Side that's rapidly gentrifying as LA's Arts District. Unfortunately the concrete that was laid down way back in the 1932 is far beyond repair at this point. So after years of patchwork and tentative maintenance, the local authorities are taking it down and replacing it with a new bridge in a process that's expected to take four years. The destruction of the landmark is sad news for the people who have come to embrace it as one of the city's most memorable structures – people like Magnus Walker. The so-called Urban Outlaw, known as much for his offbeat style as he is for customizing Porsches, put out word to the tuner community that it was time to say goodbye to their beloved bridge, and out they came, looking like something straight out of a Fast & Furious movie. See how it all came together in this latest video from eGarage. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Porsche bringing electric Pajun concept to Frankfurt?
Wed, Jul 22 2015France's L'Automobile magazine reports that a precursor to the long-rumored and much-discussed Porsche Pajun will come to the Frankfurt Motor Show. The reveal is being characterized as a "'connected' study that could well turn into a series model." Just seeing something at all, however, would be a major step. Pajun palaver has been splattered all over the Internet for more than three years, since back when it was going to come with a V6 to be an ICE challenger to the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, and Mercedes E-Class. The intervening years have turned the rumormill up to Level: Sasquatch, and still we had no idea when we'd ever see a car that, at one time, was headed for showrooms next year. Then we got a bunch of reports at the end of last year about a swoopy electric sedan, accompanied by patent filings for novel electric and hydrogen fuel cell powerplants. This year, Porsche has been making noise in the US and Europe about EV and connected-car initiatives, and reports blossomed with giggly details concerning the Pajun, like a 300-mile range, potentially 600 horsepower, two electric motors, four-wheel steering, and a topological battery layout with "108 separate battery pouches." A more recent report posits a Tesla Model S-fighting 420 horsepower and a 265-mile range. So we hope L'Automobile is correct, because we can't wait to see the proper, sheetmetal inspiration for whatever the Pajun will be. Related Video:
