This 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo is very clean! It's had it's 90,000 mile service done including (new clutch, timing chain/belt?, plugs, wires etc.), new suspension installed with adjustable shocks, new tires put on, and a premium stereo installed as well. The paint is in great shape and shines like new! The body only has three golf ball size dents in the front drivers side fender that can easily be popped out from a tree limb that fell and three 4 inch scratches on the front passenger side of the bumper from who-knows-what. The sun roof is fiberglass and has a bit of paint chipping on the corners from age and use, but nothing that can't be fixed. I had a reputable body shop quote me $250 to fix everything however, I just haven't had the time to do it. The interior is in awesome shape. It does have the standard 944 dash crack and drivers seat wear, but other than that it's held up VERY well over it's 25 years of existence. Aside from the upgraded shocks and stereo this car is all stock. It runs and drives like a race car! It idles good and loves to cruise the strip and occasionally stretch its legs. I hate to give this car up, as it is my "dream car" but, when things are tight you have to make hard decisions. I've had one of these before as well and they are by far my favorite cars to drive! especially with the turbo...

~In one or two of the pictures the plastic shift pattern is missing *It has now been re-installed* the detailer vacuumed it up and I had to wait a few days to get it back~

Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race

Thu, Mar 17 2016

We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:

Volkswagen profit jumps as it warns of a cooling auto market

Wed, Oct 30 2019

FRANKFURT, Germany — Volkswagen says its profits jumped 44% in the third quarter thanks to a more profitable mix of vehicles in its lineup but warned that global car markets are slowing more than expected and lowered its forecast for annual sales. After-tax profit rose to $4.42 billion (3.98 billion euros) as revenues rose 11% to $68.27 billion (61.42 billion euros). The sales margin of 7.8% exceeded the goal of 6.5-7.5% as vehicles bringing higher profits took a larger share of sales. The Wolfsburg-based automaker pointed to the headwinds facing the industry by saying that it expects "vehicle markets will contract faster than previously anticipated in many regions of the world." It said sales would be "on a level" with last year's record of 10.8 million vehicles. Previously it had expected a slight increase. The company said its profits would be in the lower end of its forecast range. Global automakers are facing a slowdown in sales amid disputes over trade and from pressure in the European Union and China to develop and sell low-emission vehicles that require heavy investment in new technology. Ford and Renault have issued profit warnings in recent days, while Daimler, maker of Mercedes-Benz luxury cars, lost money in the second quarter and is expected to outline a cost-cutting strategy for investors on Nov. 14. Volkswagen is leading the push into electric vehicles in Europe by launching its ID.3 battery-powered compact car at prices it says will make zero local emission vehicles a mass phenomenon. The company was able to increase earnings in the quarter despite an 18% rise in spending on research and development.

Porsche Cayenne spied unconstrained by camouflage

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Meet the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. Our eagle-eyed spy shooters captured this example of Porsche's freshened SUV virtually devoid of camo, giving us our clearest look yet at what the eventual mid-cycle work will do to the strong-selling Cayenne.
The overall changes do, indeed, look minor, with a reprofiled intake being the most obvious item. The headlights are still covered, so we don't know what kind of jeweling has been done, but the shape does appear identical to the current model. Overall, the changes appear totally in line with a mid-cycle refresh.
As we explained previously, a plug-in Cayenne is on the way. It will join a crop of engines that is likely to be similar to what's on offer today, with naturally aspirated, turbocharged, hybrid and diesel variants released over time.
