1988 Porsche 944 Turbo "s" - Track Car Race Car on 2040-cars
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

This track car is located in eastern ontario, 45 mins from the ontario - us border. It is a US originated car and successful buyer will have all the documentation necessary for duty free re-entry into the US.
I've owned a number of both air and water cooled rear engine and front engine Porsches since the early 80's. In the past few years I've been bitten by the DE/Track experience and sold my 996 C4S back in 2012 to get more seriously into the game and eventually graduate to the amateur racing level with the 944 Cup series. After spending last summer at the track sorting the car, circumstances and priorities have now changed and track time is on the back burner. Let me tell you about the car. It is an original "S" delivered new to Brumos in Atlanta. It was traded by the original owner in 1994 with 72k mi and continued to run as a pure street car until April of 96 with now 104k on it. At that time it was converted to a dual purpose street and track car by a local PCA Suncoast Region instructor/racer who claimed the car is setup to run D class in PCA club racing events. Looking at the expiry dates on the harnesses and the binder of receipts that came with the car, it appears he ran the car on track with street use until 2003 .... total of 4k mi. It appears that the car sat unused from 2003 - 2011 and in spring of 2011 was returned to light street use 2k mi 2011 - 2013. Here's what was in the car when I acquired it in spring of 2013.
I ran the car in DE events last year and this year at Mosport, Calabogie and Tremblant (See video June 27, 2014) getting the car sorted. We off-loaded the car from the transporter, drove it right into the garage for a fluid change and track inspection. Next day we were on the track. I was blown away by the performance and handling combo over my recent 996 AND the AC blows cold!!!. Here's what I've done since:

Lamborghini Miura, Porsche 911 highlight Techno Classica
Mon, Apr 11 2016Visitors to the Techno Classica show in Germany this weekend were treated to the spectacle of all manner of classic cars under the roof of the Messe Essen. Not surprisingly, the Volkswagen Group was well represented, with the historical departments of two of its flagship marques showcasing their in-house restoration projects – albeit in radically different states of repair. While Porsche brought a completely restored example of a particularly storied 911, Lamborghini went the opposite route by displaying the bare body-in-white for a Miura. With the Miura now celebrating its 50th anniversary, Lamborghini's recently launched PoloStorico division is in the process of restoring several examples. Chassis #5030 is a Miura SV that, as you can see, is still in the middle of its refurbishment, its frame corrected but still unfinished – but that didn't stop the Raging Bull marque from putting it on display. It was joined by the freshly completed green example (chassis #4846) that was the department's first project, as well as the engine from a Miura P400S. Meanwhile, Porsche Classic arrived with a lovely 911 2.5 S/T, the precursor of the 911 RSR. One of only 24 examples made, this particular vehicle won its class at Le Mans in 1972 at the hands of works driver Jurgen Barth (who would alter claim victory overall in '77). It was rediscovered in poor health decades later by a collector, who commissioned Porsche Classic to bring it back to life. The task proved monumental, the vehicle having been modified, crashed, rusted, and used as a playground for children. Both vehicles aptly demonstrate the kind of care that these manufacturers' own restoration departments put into preserving their company's legacy. If you weren't in Essen this weekend to see them first-hand, you can check them both out in the pair of image galleries. Showing the original Miura SV first unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show and the subject of a full restoration by Lamborghini PoloStorico, the stand also displays a Miura chassis demonstrating work in progress and a fully overhauled Miura engine.
2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S is a 911 Turbo for the family man
Thu, 21 Nov 2013In the event that the Porsche Panamera Turbo's 520 horsepower and 189-mile-per-hour top speed aren't enough to sate the appetite of the speed freak, Porsche has just given the auto show debut to the faster, more powerful Panamera Turbo S.
With 570 horsepower being pumped from a 4.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, the Panamera Turbo S promises even faster acceleration, hitting 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, a 0.3-second improvement over the standard Turbo. The top speed, meanwhile, climbs to 192 mph, which is kind of ridiculous for a car with four doors and a trunk.
Other enhancements that come with this Panamera's extra syllable include carbon-ceramic brakes and the entirety of Porsche's active chassis systems, including Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and Porsche Active Suspension Management. The performance goodies come standard, but that doesn't mean the Panamera Turbo S is cheap.
Porsche reveals first Macan driving and manufacturing footage
Fri, 13 Dec 2013One of the more anticipated offerings of the upcoming year, Porsche's sporty baby Cayenne, the 2015 Macan, has already earned nods of approval from a number of Autoblog staffers. We named it one of the top five debuts at last month's LA Auto Show, citing its 400-horsepower turbocharged engine and other sporty bits as good reasons to get excited about Stuttgart's latest.
And while our first test may be many months away, we're keeping our ears to the ground for any information on Porsche's compact crossover. We're especially keen on stuff like this - our first look at the new model in motion and undergoing assembly at its Leipzig plant. Both are shorter videos, and while there's little of the glorious engine noise we've already been teased with, the videos do offer a great look at the handsome Macan on the road, as well as glimpse at Porsche's state-of-the-art manufacturing operations.
Scope out the videos below and let us know what you think.
