Here for your consideration is a 1988 Porsche 944. This beauty has the original paint in midnight blue color. This auto is 25 years old but the previous owners have given her tender loving care and it definately shows. This car has near perfect paint with a few light scratches and very, very, minor dings. Every exterior light works with no broken or cracked covers. The tires are almost brand new and the wheels are perfect. Exterior wise you will be hard pressed to find a 944 in this good of condition that has not been repainted.
The interior is all original with the exception of the racing seats and steering wheel and new carpet has been installed. Every single electronic works perfectly including the gauges with the exception of the rear windshield wiper. The dash has a few very light cracks in it but are hardly noticeable. Interior wise the only thing left to do is the headliner. It is fine with no tears but needs reglueing and situated around the sunroof.
I have saved the best for last. The engine and transmission are in perfect condition. This baby runs strong and smooth with absolutely no leaks anywhere. The entire engine was gone through by the previous owner and Euroasian and he had planned to finish the restoration of the rest of the car but simply could not afford to finish. This car is tight and handles superbly with no rattles and such. The odometer is not working but once you see and drive this auto then I am sure that you will agree that it really does not matter because it is clearly evident that this auto is solid, sound, and totally ready for your driving pleasure.
Folks you can look long and hard to find another 944 in comparible condition but be prepared to pay a premium price. This car is a head turner and is a joy to drive. With a little more time and money this car could be in showroom condition. Mechanically this car is sound and will be something to enjoy while finishing the restoration.
GOOD LUCK BIDDING! Call me at 662-574-3147 with any questions. Dan

Porsche ready to pick itself up after Le Mans failure
Mon, 23 Jun 2014It's safe to say that things for Porsche didn't go quite as well at Le Mans this year as it might have hoped. After a sixteen-year gap, the winningest manufacturer in endurance racing history returned to the Circuit de la Sarthe this year hoping maybe not for outright victory in its first time back, but definitely a strong finish on which it could build on for next year. All the while it undoubtedly hoped its 911s would hold their own in the GT classes.
Unfortunately for Porsche, neither happened. After racing around the clock, and despite actually leading the festivities for some time, the best its 919 Hybrid could manage was an eleventh-place finish, lagging lamentably behind not only the other LMP1s (like the race-winning Audi) but also a handful of LMP2s. Meanwhile the LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am titles went to the factory-backed teams of its arch-rivals Ferrari and Aston Martin, respectively.
Not a stellar result, in other words, but Porsche is taking it all in stride - accepting that it has a ways to go while congratulating its vanquishing rivals in the video below. It's good sportsmanship if we've ever seen it. Next year's race starts now.
Porsche 911 RSR stops just long enough to have its photo taken
Tue, 04 Mar 2014When it comes to Porsche and its rapidly escalating endurance racing program, all eyes may be on the new 919 Hybrid - and with good reason: that's the vehicle with which Porsche will be challenging the likes of Audi and Toyota for wins in the top-tier LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship and at Le Mans. But it's the 911 RSR that does and will continue to form the backbone of the factory's effort.
The 470-horsepower racing version of the road-going 911 took a one-two finish in its class at Le Mans last year, and also won its class at the Daytona 24 this past January as well. This year Porsche will field two of them in the WEC, another two in the United SportsCar Championship here in the US and will sell countless more to customer racing teams that will undoubtedly continue to rack up trophies in racing series around the world. This, then, might be a unique chance to see one standing still. Check it out in our gallery of live images above from the Geneva Motor Show.
Porsche Panamera's alluring hind quarters teased
Tue, Jun 7 2016It looks like we'll be seeing the new Porsche Panamera sooner rather than later, after the German company released its first teaser video for its redesigned sedan. Sadly, that image you see above is the only clear view of the new car being offered – the video doesn't offer much. In short, the clip below is all about how Porsche has successfully done its own thing over the years. You know, building cars with the engine in the wrong end and such. It's a nice little recap of Porsche history, showing Porsche's first offerings through to the 918 Spyder. But let's talk about that teaser image. We get a good look at the taillights, the traditional Porsche lettering, and the rear window. Based on these few details, it looks like the new Panamera's tail will borrow some inspiration from the updated 911. The lights are a similar shape, and while the sedan will tie the two units together with a lighting element – kind of like a 911 Targa – it looks like there's a similar character line just above the Porsche lettering. But the really weird detail here is the vertical cutline at the Panamera's center, right above the letter "S" in "Porsche." There's absolutely no reason for it to be there, unless Porsche is going to offer something really weird like a split tailgate, which we doubt. We can't see anything like it in our spy photos, but it'd be a relatively easy thing to hide with camo. But why is it there? We can't wait to find out. This content is hosted by a third party.
