This is a great drivers car and an amazing example of Porsche build quality and design. This car does have a few paint chips and small dents, but nothing that takes away from the appeal of the car. Must be seen to be appreciated. I am not forced to sell this car, but due to an upcoming deployment, I do not want to have it sit in storage. Please contact me at 703-622-3348 for more information.

Criminal slices through Porsche's roof just to break in
Thu, Nov 12 2015Porsche fans, look away. This footage of a thief in London slicing his way into a classic 911 might be too much for lovers of the sports car to bear. Police released CCTV footage of the September break-in in the hopes of scaring up information that could lead to an arrest, the Daily Mail reported. The man pulled off his brazen daylight crime spree in the posh neighborhood of Mayfair in central London. It started when he tired to steal an older, red Porsche 911. Unable to pick the lock, he sliced through the roof with a large knife and hopped inside through the hole. Several people simply walked past the Porsche, now blaring its alarm in distress with its roof in tatters. The man then jumped out the same way he entered when he couldn't hotwire the car. To add insult to injury, the man used the large rear spoiler as a springboard to the street. It seems this suspect had brand loyalty. Witness told police they saw a man fitting the same description attempting to steal a GBP80,000 Cayenne nearby only 20 minutes later. He also threatened onlookers with a large knife. Unable to nab either Porsche, he robbed a nearby sportswear store, taking running shoes and a tracksuit. When the staff tried to stop the thief he also threatened them with a knife. Despite the multiple witness and video evidence, there are still no leads in the case. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Related Video:
Volkswagen taps Porsche chief for board
Mon, Feb 23 2015Matthias Mueller was promoted to the top position at Porsche in 2010 after a successful stint of developing model lines during his 36 years with the company, mainly at Audi. Having shown the same prowess while overseeing Porsche for the past five years, German outlet Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports that Mueller will be promoted to the management board of the Volkswagen Group, according to a leaked copy of an agenda for the meeting. It's said that a new spot is being created for him, one that will put him in charge of "overseeing cooperation" among Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Porsche. While other group executives are known to hold positions on the board and with brands, or across brands, it isn't clear yet whether Mueller will keep his spot at the CEO of Porsche after the promotion. One thing that is certain is the 61-year-old Mueller doesn't see himself in line for Volkswagen Group CEO Martin Winterkorn's job in 2016, having told FAZ this month, "It's no solution to put a 63-year-old at the head of Volkswagen." Porsche 911 GT1 Evo up for grabs in Monaco valued at $3M
Thu, Mar 10 2016On paper, Porsche didn't do a flagship supercar in between the 959 and the Carrera GT. In reality, it did. Sort of. It was the strassenversion of the 911 GT1, a homologation special based on a spectacularly successful racing car. And RM Sotheby's has a standout example consigned for its upcoming sale in Monaco. What you're looking at is a 911 GT1 Evolution that served as the mid-point in the GT1's development, following the original and followed in turn by the GT1-98 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year. One of just fourteen 911 GT1s held in public hands, chassis number GT1 993-117 won the Canadian GT Championship three years running, and is the only GT1 Evo that was ever registered for use on public roads. RM Sotheby's anticipates that it will fetch between $2.9 and $3.25 million when it crosses the auction block in May, marking the first time that this particular example has come up for auction. That would make it considerably more valuable than the GT1 Evo Gooding & Company sold at Amelia Island in 2012 for $1.26 million, according to Sports Car Market. Of course, the Porsche isn't the only notable item the auction house has lined up for the sale during the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique weekend. There's a pair of 1930s German convertibles – one Mercedes 540 K and one Horch 670 – valued at about the same level as the 911 GT1, a Tucker 48 (~$1.6m), and Niki Lauda's debut March 711 grand prix racer (~$550k). Those are some tempting sets of wheels, and we'll be watching to see how they fare two months from now.
