Please, no trades:
I will be as specific as possible so that you have all the information about the porsche before you contact. Please be serious when responding.
New battery installed.
Exhaust fixed with new pipes looks great!
$500 worth of tune up done! Have receipt to prove. Passes NYS inspection easily and done in June.

Fixes- antenna is broke, however winshield mounted antenna is installed and no issues with reception. Nice aftermarket ipod deck is installed. Wiring was not installed correct or it is not seated right as it turns off when shifting into 2nd but clicks right back on (possible ground?). Front speakers are not there however aftermarket back speakers work and i have new front speakers for you to install. Windshield wipers WORK, however leak in fluid reservoir (but I wouldnt drive it in the rain anyway). I believe the pump still works. Sunroof-moonroof works intermittently. The top is removable however I keep it closed as the seal needs to be replaced. It would be cheaper and in my opinion nicer if you just put a solid moonroof in. Rear lock assembly does not work. Electric rear hatch WORKS! The odometer does not work so i am guessing how many miles are on it based on previous owners history, however the speedo does and all engine lights work. Obviously for a 30 year old car the ac does not work, but thats not why you would be purchasing anyway. Just replaced the heat valve and seems to keep heat out of cabin of car.
Slight drip from oil pan gasket, have a new one just needs to be installed.  When tune up was done they noticed and tightened oil pan.  Bought new one just have not replaced.
Now good. NYS inspection was just done within a month ago. Passed! Full synthetic oil changes and only premium gas so far since i have owned it. Tires are good, nice tread and nice performance look. Pirelli P4000. Porsche rims, one is a little pitted however looks good with the porsche valve stems. Power windows WORK! Steering wheel is replaced with wood expensive  porsche wheel. Inner tie-rods were replaced and I have receipts for the product and work. Leather on the inside is in fantastic shape and the car is clean. Black all over! Dash is not cracked that I can see. Handles great as I have driven almost 1500 miles in it already. The paint is good and bad. I dont see any rust and only 1 bubble spot on a wheel well. It looks great from a few feet away, but obviously old. Has ground effects on it. Someone had told me that these ground effects come from a turbo porsche?
Has alarm on it and works great.. Not too touchy. Car has its quirks but awesome overall value for the money and a drivable project car that you can have fun in.
This is a 5 speed! And it shifts great! Nice and smooth. Engine sounds and feels in great shape. Emergency brake works and has aftermarket silver handle.

Also comes with car cover made for this car.
RECENT updates: Just purchased a few small things for it to replace...light bulbs, hood latches, small maintenance type stuff that was inexpensive so I thought I would freshen it up.

Please local pickup or delivery within 50 miles of Syracuse NY .

I reserve the right to end the auction before end if someone comes with cash.

You CAN come and take a look before purchasing.  I encourage it to make sure this is the car for you. It has it's quirks but all the major money parts are working great!

This man literally loves a Porsche [NSFW]

Mon, May 11 2015

Think you know what "auto erotic" means? Think again. Because one man in Thailand has redefined the term. Caught on security camera footage this guy lurks into a garage, looks over both shoulders, evidently misses the camera, drops trou and has his way with a Porsche Boxster. When the tailpipe proved too hot (or otherwise inhospitable), he moves up to the radiator grille and – ahem – finishes up there. Sadly this isn't even the first time we've come across this particular perversion. We'd urge caution before viewing the video, not only because it's not suitable for a workplace environment, but because once you see it, you're bound to repeatedly blurt out, "Why, man!? Why?"

Former Porsche boss Wiedeking won't face criminal charges over VW bid

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Hedge fund managers have been suing Porsche for years now, alleging that the car company lied about its intentions during its failed attempt to take over Volkswagen, a gambit that caused them billion in losses. Over the same period, authorities in Stuttgart built a criminal case against former CEO Wendelin Wiedeking (above, left) and Chief Financial Officer Holger Härter (right), filing charges in December 2012. When those fund plaintiffs lost their most recent court case, one of the dimming lights in the dark and receding tunnel was that the criminal investigation might unearth more evidence about Porsche's actions that could help the plaintiffs in pending litigation.
Bloomberg reports that another light has gone out, though, with a Stuttgart court dismissing the market manipulation case before going to trial because, as a court spokesperson said, "there wasn't enough evidence backing up the charges." When prosecutors get the files back from the court, they have a week to decide to refile, but unless they've been sandbagging evidence that could bolster the case, the only lights at the end of the tunnel will be those welcoming Wiedeking and Härter back to the world of legally unencumbered men.

Porsche offering 250-hp 718 Cayman, Boxster in China

Tue, Aug 9 2016

Porsche is studying a new approach in the lucrative Chinese market – less power. Automotive News Europe reports that the famed German manufacturer will sell less powerful versions of the 718 Cayman and Boxster in the People's Republic. In fact, the new cars are already on Porsche's Chinese consumer page. The hope, 718 chief Jan Roth told Automotive News Europe, is to replicate the success Porsche's sister company Audi has had with the TT. "A lot of the TTs that Audi sells in China, the smaller displacement 1.8-liter versions with rear-wheel instead of all-wheel-drive, are priced below that, Mercedes too," Roth said. We're guessing the comments about rear-wheel drive and a 1.8-liter engine are either typos or something was lost in translation, because Audi's Chinese website only lists a 2.0-liter engine, and most gearheads know the TT rides on a front-drive platform. Audi's success is largely down to price – 542,800 yuan ($81,549, at today's rates) for a base TT. Roth called 600,000 yuan "a magical threshold for customers in China." To hit that price point, Porsche is dropping the 718's 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder – offered North America and Europe with 300 horsepower in base form – to 250 ponies. The Cayman starts at 588,000 yuan ($88,340) while the Boxster is 598,000 yuan ($89,842). The 350-hp Cayman S will carry on unchanged. According to ANE, Roth said Porsche's Chinese strategy could drive 718 sales up to 4,500 units a year by 2017, nearly double the 2,500 Boxsters and Caymans sold in 2015. Could a similar lower-tiered strategy work in the US? We'll need to put on our speculation hats. In the US, the base car is about 81 percent of the price of the 350-horsepower S model. If Porsche were to offer the same discount for the hypothetical, 250-hp 718s, it could set the starting prices at $43,659 for the Cayman and $45,360 for the Boxster. That lines up neatly with the $43,500 TT Coupe, but this theoretical 250-hp Boxster would fall about $1,640 less than Audi's soft top. We shouldn't forget Porsche's expansive options catalog – we doubt there'd be a lot of sub-$50,000 718s on dealer lots. But still, slashing over $10,000 off the price of a $54,000 car is a big ask – Porsche would almost have to de-content such a lower-tier model. But – and this is a Kim K-sized but – moving the 718 downmarket would open the brand to a new range of consumers. Not only would these new cars be the cheapest sportscars from Porsche money could buy.
