This auction is for my 1984 Porsche 944 with the original 2.5l engine and a strong clutch. this car is currently my daily driver, it runs and drives but it is a 30 year old car and does have a few issues. I have recently replaced and have receipts for a lot of parts, mostly front end/steering parts and ignition parts.
New Parts:
New Steering Rack and Pinion (Was originally power steering but I have converted it to manual steering to minimize fluid leak)
New Tie Rods
New Tie Rod Ends
New Headlights
New Headlight Switch
New Front Struts
New Tires
New Spark Plugs
New Distributor Cap
New Bosch Sparkplug Wires
New Heater Control Valve
New head temperature sensor
New radiator temperature sensor (fan switch)
Recent oil change
New battery
New alternator and belt
New passenger side CV axle
New Upper Radiator Hose
Engine runs very smooth with lots of power, all of the light (Turn signals, headlight etc.) work fine, brakes and clutch feel good, power windows work from the drivers side switches. because of the new front shocks and steering parts this car is very smooth and stable even at freeway speeds.

The bad:
- Odometer is stuck at 114.xxx miles (Approximate actual mileage is 135.xxx)
- Windshield wipers only work on high
- Very small oil leak on back of engine block that sometimes drips on header and makes a little bit of smoke
- Passenger outside door handle does not work
- Paint chipping on front left bumper and driver side door
- Hood release and hood support struts are missing
- There is some rear end noise under hard down shifting of acceleration (Possibly just needs an oil change)
- Heater control cable not connected
- Sunroof switch is broken
- Rear wiper arm is gone
- CD player works intermittently

Evo pits BMW M3 against Porsche Macan in drag battle
Sun, 24 Aug 2014If you want to move five passengers in very rapid fashion and you've got a $75,000 budget, two newly introduced four-door models immediately come to mind - both are the highest performing vehicles in their respective segments. But which is faster off the line, to the 60-mile-per-hour benchmark or flat-out over an even longer run? Evo took both to paved aircraft runway to find out.
In lane one we've got the all-new Porsche Macan Turbo, which boasts a twin-turbocharged, 3.6-liter V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The Porsche is fitted with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, and the 4,244-pound crossover has the traction advantage of standard all-wheel drive. In lane two is the all-new BMW M3, powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six rated at 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It is also equipped with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, but only the rear wheels of the 3,595-pound sedan are driven. Both the BMW and Porsche arrive with launch control, which helps to remove driver error off the line.
Which automaker's launch control system is better off the line? Does all-wheel-drive grip give the crossover the advantage it needs to overcome its adversary's power-to-weight advantage? Will aerodynamics factor into the results? Which would you put in your garage, and why? The video may surprise you.
New European charging network will offer speeds up to 350 kW
Tue, Nov 29 2016It's about to get easier to fast-charge your electric vehicle across Europe thanks to four major automakers working together in a new joint venture. BMW, Daimler (Mercedes-Benz), Ford, and the VW Group (Audi and Porsche) have all signed a Memorandum of Understanding to install about 400 DC fast charging sites in Europe. As you may know, there are different types of fast chargers, but the ones that this group is talking about installing will be able to charge an EV in much less time than other stations. That's because these chargers will offer power levels of "up to 350 kW." Compare that to what's generally considered the current gold standard, the Tesla Superchargers, which have rates of up to 145 kW and a statement not that long ago from a Ford exec that suggested that 150 kW chargers would be the new normal. Of course, the Tesla chargers use the company's proprietary connector and the new network the JV is setting up will use the CCS standard. The first new stations will go up in 2017 and those 400 sites are just the beginning. A joint statement by the JV says that EV drivers will "have access to thousands of high-powered charging points" by 2020 along highways and main roads. "The charging experience is expected to evolve to be as convenient as refueling at conventional gas stations," the companies said. While not every electric vehicle will be able to take advantage of the 350 kW charging rate, the companies involved would be silly to build the infrastructure without vehicles that can handle that kind of energy flow. The JV says it would welcome participation from other automakers and will cooperate with interested regional partners. Audi RS7 vs. Porsche Panamera Turbo, which would you pick? [w/poll]
Wed, 08 Jan 2014We live in a blessed time - a time when you can buy not just one, but two (or three, or four) monstrously powerful, blazingly fast four-doors that can't only keep up with modern supercars, but in some instances, will outperform them as well. Two of the finest are the Audi RS7 and the refreshed Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Motor Trend has been messing around with the both of them in this comparison video.
MT provides a comprehensive and entertaining look at the RS7 and the turbocharged Panamera as they go through a battery of tests, before getting tossed about on both the road and the track. Starring flip-flop aficionado Jonny Lieberman, it's a must-watch, whether you're in the market for one of the two super sedans or merely want to see the former Autoblog editor again.
After having a look at the video, register a vote for the car you'd park in your driveway in our poll. Hop below for the full video from the team at Motor Trend.
