Highest Auto-check Rating on Ebay at the time of listing!

Up for your consideration I have a prime example of the venerable Porsche 928 S4 sports car. This car was in storage for over 9 years at an auto restoration company's storage facility. I purchased it from the original owner's wife after her husband passed and she had no use for the automobile. Everything about this vehicle is 100% original from the interior, exterior, engine bay, etc. The S4 has one minor issue with the front fascia that came in contact with a gravel abutment at a construction site that scarred the front cowl and right running light ( all wiring works as it should), it is not major and can be restored to original with simple repairs. NO METAL PANEL DAMAGE, ONLY PLASTIC.  This is a secondary vehicle for me so I'd rather pass on a great deal to a new owner that would like to bring it back to perfect.

Here are the specifics of this iconic piece of sports car history. This 928 S4 has the powerful 5.0 liter v-8 with power to spare. I had my mechanic install a new in-tank fuel pump with an O.E.M. Bosch replacement. The car has a stutter at idle and runs rich with under a half tank, but above that it doesn't show any signs of fuel delivery issue. I just want to cover all bases and let everyone know of any existing issues. Pictures aren't perfect, but I can send more at a buyers request.

The previous owner had the timing belt, water pump and pulleys replaced only for preventative maintenance. The leather has some weathering from entry and exit of the vehicle from a stout prior owner, but it is solid with only checking and 1 small split in the drivers side captain's chair. Dash does has a few cracks which is very typical and can be covered for less than a hundred dollar bill.  Rear air conditioning was an option, but not one you see in every S4 on the block.

With under 49K on this Porsche, it is just broke in and drives like a showroom car. It does need new shoes at some point, not because of wear they are just old but have not given me a problem.  Please feel free to contact me for any additional questions about the car. All service records are included with the S4 as well as the factory ordered air compressor and extra floor mats in blue.

This is a Beautiful original that needs a collectors loving embrace! I have several small children which are more important to me than this fun car, I would like to add the proceeds to further their education.

Porsche Cayenne shows a bit more face, plug-in spotted

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Porsche was first rumored to be working on a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the Cayenne over a year ago. However, we had never seen it, until now. The new model was caught almost completely undisguised while testing. In another stroke of luck, we got a glimpse of the upcoming facelift for Porsche's SUV (pictured above) as well.
According to the spy shooter, it was windy during the cars' cold weather testing. The cover blew off of the facelifted Cayenne, and there was enough time to snap these pictures before it could be hidden again. The changes are all quite minor but jive with what we saw the last time it was spied. The rear still wears some cladding but is expected to be hiding lights similar to the Macan.
The second gallery shows off the upcoming Cayenne PHEV. It looks nearly identical to the standard model, except for the extra panel on the driver's side of the car that hides the electric port. One image even shows the car plugged in. The new version is expected to use the same supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and 9.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack with a combined 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque from the Panamera S E-Hybrid. We enjoyed the system when we tested it last year. It's rumored to debut on the SUV sometime this year.

Jay Leno welcomes Emory's outlaw Porsche 356s

Tue, Aug 4 2015

Classic cars can have a lot of character, but purposely passing up on some of the enormous advancements made to the automobile over the decades since those classics were made can be a difficult proposition. That's where restomodders like Emory Motorsports come in. Emory specializes in customizing Porsche 356s, modifying them to their clients' specifications and giving them an added dose of performance and refinement, all without losing that timeless appeal. The LA-based company is headed up today by third-generation Southern Californian gearhead Rod Emory. After seeing some examples of his work out on the road, Jay Leno invited Rod by the garage along with a pair of his company's custom creations. Both are based on 356 coupes from the late 1950s, but take pretty different approaches in their comprehensive restoration and extensive modification. Since classic Zuffenhausen enthusiasts are notorious for their rigid adherence to originality, Emory's modified 356s are deemed to be "outlaws" by many on the vintage Porsche scene. But they've also gained quite a following, similar to what Singer has done with 911s. Whether you're more inclined to cling to authenticity along with the purists or embrace the novelty espoused by the restomodders, after scoping out these irresistible specimens, you'll have to admit that Emory does some pretty compelling work. Watch the 25-minute video clip above to see what we mean, and check out Petrolicious' profile of the same company's work from last year for another look.

Petrolicious profiles the rare Italian Porschephile

Wed, Sep 9 2015

If you're Italian, you love Ferrari. It's almost a national requirement. If not Ferrari, then Lamborghini, or if you're a bit contrarian, perhaps Alfa Romeo or Maserati. This common belief, though, flies in the face of Rosita Corato's devotion to a certain unique Porsche. Despite growing up around cars from Italy's most treasured automakers, Rosita's family of coachbuilders had a passion for Porsche. This love was fostered by her father, who made a living repairing Ferraris. Despite his work, he'd longed for a rear-engined German, finally picking up a 1959 356 Speedster that was in desperate need of restoration. Rosita describes it as "practically a heap of metal" before her masterful metalworking father got to work on it. While it was originally meant to be a racer, it could best be described today as a restomod, and Rosita still uses it regularly on rallies. The engine and brakes have been upgraded, while the ratios on the manual transmission have been tightened up for improved performance. To save weight – remember, Rosita's father wanted a racer – the doors and hood were replaced with aluminum units, while other aesthetic upgrades were made as well, such as moving the fuel access up onto the hood. Check out Rosita's gorgeous 356 Speedster in the very latest episode from the team at Petrolicious. Related Video:
